Brunow--LCC has had a great deal of success over the last 7-8 years..Volleyball State champions 2007 Basketball state champions 2010 Football state semi-finalist 2010 Girls soccer regional 2011 Boys soccer team district finalist 2012,2013(I think all of those teams had best seasons in schools history) as well as numerous state appearances in boys and girls golf.. I honestly can't think of many or even any Lima City kids contributing to those teams..

Most of those LCC is traditionally strong in. I have to ask though, what does the success of volleyball, basketball, soccer, and golf have to do with a football coach making his decision to coach there?

It doesn't, It's seemingly in relation to the other discussion taking place in this thread. You know the one where LCC gets all it's great student athletes via the evil voucher program.

The irony is that LCC athletic teams outside of football & basketball have arguably had just as much or more success since the voucher implementation without the assistance of so called "city kids". (Not my words) I stated in a previous post, the kids who are paying the price of not being in a league, not having league awards, increased travel etc etc are these other athletes who's names & coaches don't create the much reported disdain that the football & basketball programs have. Disdain that prompted me to ask earlier, has it all been worth it?

True, but how many Lima Senior kids are tearing it up in Golf and Tennis?

Agreed but I personally am talking about all sports outside the two big ones that draw the most attention both good & bad

Elf- Can't believe i forgot the baseball team...Anyways,all those sports i mentioned had their BEST seasons in the history of the school here in the last 7 years, and I can't think of any "Lima City" kids contributing to those teams..Are there some now? Yes..Maybe this is why Cooper may not survive..My gut says Palte won't take the job now that he's spent a year at LCC..Looked better from the outside than being inside every day..(Man that 2010 football team was a good one)..

We are hearing that indeed he has coached his last game at LCC.....not sure when Koza will be breaking this news to his audience.....Coach Palte is poised to take over the reins. No word on his future plans just yet....we are waterboarding our sources and hope to have more answers soon......

Well it's been 9 hours since this proclamation, nothing on Koza show, nothing I've heard elsewhere, maybe you should reveal your sources???

Poker- I remember that all nine starters on that 2012 baseball team had at least one parent who was an LCC grad & 5 or 6 starters had two parents that were LCC grads. Many of the other teams aside from FB & BB have similar stories. These kids are more representative of LCC both on and off the field but FB & BB are the image of the school, an image that at least on this "Corner" seems irrevocably damaged. The mutual ouster from the NWC in many minds confirms that image and I'm sad for those other student athletes

Not having a league to play in will also hurt these other sports, I see a drop off coming in all LCC sports. Back to the old days, thank coop!!!

I been hearing that Coach Cooper is negotiating a four year deal that takes him through coaching at LCC until his son graduates. Looks like all the supposed inside info is not so accurate.

My opinion is that not playing in a league is better for football. LCC has to be tired of the hypocrisy of the NWC. Caldwell try to be nice. Your blood pressure is getting way too high.

If that is the case, how many more youth baseball games will he be banned from?

I stand by my prediction.... maybe I'm just too stupid to change it.......RM

All coach's contracts are 1 year deals.

The RC is beginning to hear a very prominent name.... He was offered the job a few years ago but in the end decided to stay put. More than likely to extort more money out of his present school administration...... This time they might not be able to match all the money thrown his way

LCC can do whatever they want. They are not under the same rules as the Public Schools are.

That being said. I don't see it happening (Cooper getting a 4 year deal).

We will know this is true when LCC refuses to schedule the NWC in ANY sports...knowing that "hypocrisy" is important and all... ;)
I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

I'm not sure whom RM's sources are, but, mine from within the LCC camp are saying he's going nowhere for now., fwiw.
Guess we'll all find out sooner or later.
