Teams that should win over 6 games.
Arlington
McComb
Leipsic

Teams that might win 6 games
Edgerton
Hicksville

The rest is a coin toss. There might be a couple of sub-500 teams in the postseason at first glance.

Lima Perry will win 6+ games this season, and sneak into the playoffs for the first time in school history. Mark my word. They are much better this season, and almost beat a quality Spencerville team, granted without their best running back. Perry's schedule is a joke, their toughest two games remaining on the schedule are Ayersville and Fort Loramie, both at home. That Loramie game might be for the NWCC conference title. They will gain some big points this Saturday, if they win (and they should) at D4 Toledo Scott.

Ok "fan" explain how they played Spencerville so close, and tell me which teams besides Arlington, McComb and Leipsic could beat Spencerville? You're laughing now, but just wait and see. Ill be the one laughing after week 10.

Scott will not get Perry big points. They will get them first level points and with luck might win a game to get them a few second level points. Similar to Paulding on a local level.

They might win 5 or 6 games this year but I doubt their wins will rack them up too many points. There will be a lot of teams sniffing the playoffs that have never made it before with the new 7th division. Hard to tell if it's a good thing or a bad thing (blowouts worse than we've ever seen) at this point.

Spencerville is completely overrated this year. No way they are one of the top teams in the NWC. You'll see after this week when they face Ada. Good luck to the Commodores the rest of the way..... playoffs??? PLAYOFFS?????

Fan, I think Spencerville wont be as strong this year either. But remember, even if they finish middle of the pack in the NWC, for an NWCC team (regardless who it is outside of Ft Loramie) to lose by only a TD is somewhat impressive.

Once Spencerville gets Schuh back from injury, I can see them doing all right. 7-3 or 6-4 maybe.

Just wondering..... How will the finals be played out this year? Will they change it to 3 days of finals or 4 games Friday, 3 on Saturday? Nov has 5 Fridays and Saturdays this year. So will state finals start Thanksgiving day?

They will need to find their rhythm soon. LCC, St. Henry, Coldwater, Anna, and Marion Local are the next (consecutive) games.
The good news is, Region 24 only has a few teams that I would call a lock for the postseason. The rest are all really bad, so DSJ might be playing in week 11 with a 4-6 record if it comes down to it.

If the MAC repeats its performance from week 1 (3-7 !?!...did hell freeze over?) tonight, 4 wins might not be enough.

After all semifinals are complete, the OHSAA will determine which division will play the one game on Thursday night. My guess is, 2 teams that would draw big ratings. The rest of the finals will be played out normally over the other two days.

Why don't we just play one game at a time. Not sure any team should be talking about playoffs yet, a lot of things will happen over the next 9 weeks....

Tiffin Calvert lost a tough one last night in OT. Both teams lost their starting RB's in the first half as this one was a very tough/physical game. Calvert drove 92 yards in less than a 1:30 last night to tie things up with 0:00 to send the game into OT, but NSP scored the only touchdown in extras and won 21-14.

Here is a look at the region after week two:

1. Leipsic 2-0
2. Edon 2-0
3. Arlington 2-0
4. Pandora-Gilboa 2-0
5. Toledo Christian 1-1
6. Holgate 1-1
-. North Baltimore 1-1
-. Ridgedale 1-1
-------------------------------
9. Buckeye Central 1-1
10. Antwerp 1-1
-. Danbury, McComb, SJCC (1-1)

The remaining 14 teams are (0-2)

Indeed, they do! Arlington has a tough stretch coming up. 3 of their next 4 will be PG/Leipsic & McComb with Van Buren being the 4th team, and they're no pushover this season.

Don't count on it.

St. Henry is not a bad team. They have played every bit as good of competition as DSJ and come closer to winning by the score.

Should be a good game.
