We do not need RG3 or Johnny Manziel. WE have waited 20 years for another decent QB. Do the Browns want to waste it on a running QB. WE can't block for a running back, how are they going to block for a QB that doesn't stay in the pocket.

Okay, liking Cousin's ....... Funny how the Eagles have Nick Foles Houston looks to be moving on with hometown hero Case Keenum, and the RAvens took a chance on Joe Flacco who was not a big time name QB. The Browns not only pick the bust of the of the top name QB's coming out of college, they can't even evaluate the lesser known ones, to find the diamond in the rough.

Michael Vick wlll be out there and I think Schaub is done at Houston Any thoughts on these.

Vick is short, old, and his release is too long. (To the delight of NFL safties) Schaub is a choker, but better than anyone we got. He would get us to the playoffs, but then fade. (See Marty Schottenheimer)

Order of importance:
1. Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy. Very small windows in NFL
2. Field vision. The ability to find open recievers under pressure.
3. Intelligence. There is a reason that Vince Young is out of the league. He is an idiot.
4. Calm demeanor. See Tom Brady and Joe Montana
5. Arm strength. Yeah it's number 5. I didn't make a mistake.
6. Height. Somewhat overrated consideration. Some short guys can see over the line, some taller ones can't seem to.

Let's go shopping.

After that horrendous quarterback play Sunday, I think the obviously the number one need is a QB. I
don't care which pick it is, but if it is a guy we think someone will want sooner than the Browns pick then it best be the first pick. That position is clearly killing the Browns. Even Hoyer is the possible Future they have no back plan Campbell, and weeden need to go. Then a RB, would round out the list
nice.

Lepiota I agree with your list as well. Intelligence though might need to be higher. Smart QB's makesmart decisions.

keeper, I agree the Browns do need a QB. This is a QB driven league and it all starts with getting the right QB. I'm not so sure that Hoyer is even the guy the Browns wanna go with for the next 5-6 years. He only played 3 games this year and only really played well in one of them. This is the same guy that couldn't get his chance in Arizona in which they were struggling to find a QB. That doesn't mean I don't think Hoyer deserves another shot, I think he does but unfortunately the Browns should shop for a QB either in free agency or the draft. The Browns are heading in the right direction defensively but offensively they need some work. I think the Browns are a pass rusher, RB, QB and another deep threat/possession WR away from being a real contender in that division and even in the AFC.

I'd like to see the Browns draft keith Wenning from Ball sate and Coldwater. Big strong kid-strong arm-let hims sit and learn while Hoyer plays next year.

I wouldn't say optimistic. In fact I would say pessimistically hopefull.

We don't think good things will happen, we just hope somehow they will.

Is the Bears castoffs the only QB's the Browns can find? At this point I think Tim Tebow would have been better than picking up another Bears cast off. No offense to Caleb, but between him and Campbell, the bears offense was terrible, and now they are the QB's of the Browns. Yeah!

Didn't think I would ever say it, but Tebow could have been a nice addition, at this point in the game, he isn't doing anything.

I would think the Browns draft a QB this year, but sit him a year and let him adjust to the league. Play Hoyer next year and allow the rookie to watch, practice, and learn what an NFL QB is all about. It seems like the Browns always try to draft a rookie who will make an "immediate" impact, and when they don't succeed, cut 'em loose. Get a rookie and give him some time to grow as a player and professional before any significant playing time. Just my opinion, but again, I'd play Hoyer next year and draft a top level QB for the future.

Don't be pulling the ref card on this one. Blame your defense for allowing the Patriots to come back. Not only that but blame your special teams for allowing the Patriots to recover the onside kick. If the Pats don't get that, the Browns win and that "questionable pass interference" does not happen. Besides that point, the interference occured just under 40 seconds. Still more than enough time for the Pats to score.

Ward-Don't tell me what to do.

You sure seem to be reading a lot into what I said. I quit posting in this thread because you seem to jump on everything I say and try to prove me wrong.

The frustrating thing for me on the call was he didn't look like even without being held he was going
to be able to catch the ball anyway. It looked like to me it was overthrown.

With that said. The browns gave up an onside kick they knew was coming, and still let the Pats score
twice to win. The Defense had a chance to win the game again, and came up short. On offense, it
looked like again playing not to lose with the two TD lead so was unable to move the ball just content on punting and trusting in the defense to win the game. At some point the BRowns offense has got to
find a way to move the ball and eat up clock getting first downs, and not relying on big plays, which
gives the ball back to opposing QBs with time on the clock. YOu have to want to dominate the
offensive line so you can run, and it shouldn't matter who is in the backfield.

Are you still upset about that whole going for it on 4th down? Seriosuly get over it. That and the whole you complaining about the refs was the only post of yours that I commented on. So sorry it hasn't been everything. And no I am not telling you what to do I just find it funny that after the game, the only thing you complain about was that pass interference call. Guess what, it happens bud. You are what I call a delusional fan. You are too biased with your own team, that you don't see the big picture here. The big picture is this, the Browns defense allowed the Pats to score and then allowed them to recover the onside kick. Prevent that from happening, then it prevents this "questionable P.I. call". Look I would be frustrated as well, and I tend to put blame on the refs at time too, but in this case I would at least be objected in the whole sense that it was the defense and special teams that cost the team a win not the refs.

Well at least you have some sense keeper and are objective unlike fortfan. But I will say this, it was a catchable ball. Boyce did have to stretch out a little but he could have made that catch. Heck the ball went right through his hands (if you see the video I posted above this comment). But I don't know if it was enough contact for it to be pass interference. I mean I thought maybe Boyce was held at the 10 yard line but after that I thought it was all good. Again either way, it obviously was enough for the refs to make the call. If you look at the big picture though, this doesn't come into play if the Browns didn't allow the Pats to score and recover an onside kick, bottom line.
