winning of the "Don Bachman" award for winning the All Sports Trophy for the 7th out of 8 years
that they were members of the NWC.........
now before anyone accuses me of being a little cold-hearted concering this........please read
the advertisement first and then come back on here to state your case.........zooom

Rocket,
Considering all of the trash talking on this forum and the LCC haters in the NW Conference, I thought the ad
was a great summary of the T-Birds superiority while in the league. As they say, "Ball Don't Lie". Every statement
in the ad was factual although some of those Columbus Grove fans on the RC will likely disagree with the facts.
I think you may have given the 'Birds a little too much credit, however in your post, this was only their 6th Don Bachman Award in 8 years and not their 7th. The LCC success was not just in athletics as an ad in last week's Lima News highlighted three members of this year's senior class who were accepted into Princeton, Yale, and the Wharton School of Business at Penn. Not too shabby. These three students were also athletes. It's not bragging when you can back it up.
The last sentence in the add says it all. . . ."The Thunderbird Legacy Will Be Hard To Beat ! " LCC is leaving the NWC in style just as their ad states. Congrats to the T-Birds for their accomplishments while in the NWC.

Also just wondering, where does each school in the NWC stand in the Don Bachman Award?

For the record, the basketball team did share the title this year, and also for the record, their overall first place is
a hellava lot better than your 5th place.! The ad was far from ridiculous and hit its targeted audience obviously. If you want
to talk about grace and humility just review some of the LCC haters posts on this forum in the last year. The 'Birds being "asked"to leave the NWC was a great example of grace and humility, lol.

Who really cares about the All-sports trophy? Also, let me remind you it was a mutual agreement. And it took two votes for LCC to gain enterance into the league, therefore it was a rocky relationship to begin with.

When LCC has an alum (Matt Huffman) and others promoting (legislating) the vouchers it's hard for LCC to say no to state money.

Amen! Unfortuantly it was much easier for Huffman to promote vouchers, then to work on fixing the actual problem! He was elected to fix actual problem, and Not and out Public money to Private Schools. Therefore, LCC can blame an Alum for their problems.

What are LCC's problems you're talking about? Not being in an athletic conference?

Ah, okay. "When you said LCC can blame an alum for their problems" I assumed you meant LCC's problems since that's what you wrote. That public school system really could use more support!.. Kidding of course!

Agreed. I don't believe LCC was/is a good fit in the NWC, and I think most LCC fans would agree. That said, no one likes when their girlfriend breaks up with them, even if she is constantly nagging you, arguing, upset/obsessed with everything you do, and isn't very pretty

Well actually the vouchers are a big part of the reason LCC is looking for a Conference now.

Some of the NWC schools were a little to worried about the color of a player's skin rather than anything else. You wouldn't believe some of the things said on the field/court and in the stands. Or maybe you would or were some of the people saying those things.
by the way. I'm not from LCC. I've been fortunate enough to watch some of their teams over the past few years. What great kids, coaches and community.
