Before you speak on behalf of PH you might want to check with PH's superintendant. He definitely has interest and asked lots of questions on the alignment and schools involved. It appears he was not advised of the BVC expansion talks last summer. Ph has some classes coming up that will be in the 65 count. Loss of numbers and athletes will make it tough for PH to compete with schools twice their size. and by the way.... PH was not included in the most recent invitation by the BVC.
Its an opinion. Like your's and everybody else's.

I heard that PH was not invited so I'm switching my 4 for #14 to: Ada, Bluffton, Elmwood and Grove. HEY, this is fun. :D

EDIT: Nevermind, Elmwood's not one of them but I'm sticking with the other three.

Tinman,

Stick with your latest group and add Carey. There were five schools invited. Not sure why Coach B excluded Elmwood, but they are on the list.

Elmwood fill that 14th spot could trigger a lot of movement elsewhere. Carey isn't leaving the N10.

So our friend radiodavel is reporting Columbus Grove, Ada, Carey, PH and Elmwood did not receive invitations. Elmwood denied any interest at all. Now, maybe none got a formal invitation. Doesn't mean one wouldn't be forthcoming. The way I understood it, there was a list of "targets."

Don't forget Bluffton, I'm sure Mr. Deneker will get an email next. There are no formal invitations. Except for the one Riverdale received. Supers already voted them in all they have to do is accept with board approval. Take all the news you are getting online the past few days with a grain of salt, Polk. Maybe none of these schools say yes to being the 14th member of the BVC, but I'll guarantee you there has been or is some contact informally. These are the core group of schools the BVC wants to pluck someone from.

You are correct Polk high. We may be playing word games. There were five schools "targeted" at this time. PH is not included in the first pass.

Coach B - I was kind of trying to defend what you were reporting as opposed to what Radio was reporting. Clearly he may have posed the wrong question, hence got the loophole answer.

Yes, as you well know what people will say publicly is different than what they say behind closed doors. Sometimes, too, it's a matter of semantics.

I couldn't figure out why you take North Baltimore (still shaking my head over that one) but turn the cold shoulder on Calvert. And now apparently about to do it again, based on what you found out.

Calvert formed another conference that includes schools such as Sandusky St. Mary's, Fremont St. Joesph Central Catholic and Fostoria St. Wendlin. However, St. Wendlin will not be a football member of the conference unless their enrollment #'s increase. The BVC would be nice, but I guess Calvert likes the league they have now with several other catholic institutions.

There was an interesting war of words on Twitter last night about this topic. The Courier, radiodavel, and Producer Garrett took turns sniping at each other about who had the right dope. Not sure how to link the conversation but it was good entertainment!

Love Riverdale coming over to the BVC. While you could argue that Rdale will not bring anything to the football landscape, they will be a very good addition to the league in girls sports - particularly basketball. I have always felt like the BVC has had some great basketball coaches on both girls and boys - now add Mary Ann Holderman and Craig Taylor to the list and it just got better. Rdale will have some very competitive teams over next 4 yrs so looking forward to the games with Atown - which are always a big ticket - to be even better with league ramifications on the line now. Welcome Rdale - it's been WAY over due.

I think Ada is the other team personally. They would also be a good fit for all sports and seem to fit the mold. I still don't get the whole North Baltimore thing...I just cannot see one positive aspect of them joining in any sport.

NB will do very well in softball and thats about it.

Anything more depends on a whole lotta "ifs"...i.e. right coaching hires, growth fueled by the rail yard, etc

I hope Elmwood or Bluffton gets the nod. BVC needs bigger schools. Too many teams with no numbers makes it too easy for LB. With 7 divisions now in football it also doesn't help LB in football to beat up on these tiny schools.

Agree. Not so much on the boys side, but hopefully that will get better.
