Cooper has fled the OHSAA's jurisdiction, as he is resting comfortably in Tenn.....Palte sounds to be hired by Shawnee....running out of candidates
home to the "Flounder & Rocketman's" Girls HS rankings

My source to Quincy says moving X is false. And Quincy won't take the senior high job, doesn't want it now since they didn't give it to him when they gave it to Allen.

Was anyone at the game on Friday against Findlay? I was wondering how and why both Flowers and Stafford had 4 and 3 fouls respectfully in the first half. I read something in the Lima News that Flowers picked up his 3rd foul then was given a technical then after that Stafford picked up his 3rd foul.

Does davis have a winning record overall at bath? Could be just a few good classes goin through?

I know he built that program up with ton less talent than LSH and now back to back regional finals. No brainer if he wants it.

Doug Davis and Kirk Looser built Delphos Jefferson up from nothing into a consistent 14-16 win team. They did the same at Bath and have had good team for the past 6-7 years. It hasn't been due only to a few good classes. I would hate to see them leave Bath but could understand it.

Doug Davis 2004-2014 record 109-115 48.66% 2 Regional Finals, 2 District Semis, 1 Sectional Final, 5 first game loss in sectionals in 10 years. His first seven years 49-99 33.10% and his last three years 78.94%

You may want to double check YOUR FACTS the FACTS above came from DAVEY1.com this would support a few "Good classes"

I have seen Bath play over the years quite often and I think decent talent is overstating it and did enough of this decent talent commit themselves to gain the skill level needed. My opinion is no. No disrespect on your opinion, but athletes can't just show up in WBL and win.

Agree but I think what he has done is impressive with significant less talent than LSH and feel he deserves a shot at D1 bball.

@SpartanDome
Your reply doesn't make much sense to me. You can shoot all the stats out you want, but that doesn't change the fact that Bath's program was terrible when they got there. I believe single digit wins was the norm each year prior to 2005.

You just don't take a terrible program winning a handful of games a year and turn it around instantly. Would those same stats show that Bath's program has improved record wise over the past nine years?

I know he didn't take any program backwards and is now in his second consecutive year a game from away from D2 state with no players goin to play D1 college ball and it's Lima senior find someone else with better resume. Also, been hearing Mike Fell is pushing for his fellow LSH Alum and close friend to get it.

DD's record at Bath from Davey1.com
04-05 6-15
05-06 6-15
06-07 4-17
07-08 10-11
08-09 9-12
09-10 11-11
10-11 8-13
11-12 16-7
12-13 23-5
13-14 currently 21-4
@JBball I am really NOT SURE how this "doesn't make much sense to me"(YOU) It was in response to you writing that Bath" They did the same at Bath and have had good team for the past 6-7 years. It hasn't been due only to a few good classes."
As they say the numbers don't lie.
Also you asked if " Would those same stats show that Bath's program has improved record wise over the past nine years?"
I put the season by season breakdown which again would discredit your assessment that they were a "Good team" and support that fact that it has been due to a few good classes. The last three years ONLY have they had a winning record the prior seven years they averaged 7 wins per year???? The "norm" as you put it was 4 wins per year from 99-00 season through 03-04 season. He did increase their "norm" per year by three wins BUT........

Does this make sense to you now?? You posed the statement and I responded to it.

@dw629 You can look at the season by season breakdown of his record at Bath. He has gone to the regional finals the last two seasons BUT has he turned around the program???? first seven seasons compared to the last three seasons DOES NOT show that. It shows that the last three seasons they have had good classes come through Bath. You may as they say "have a horse in this race" because of your statements "deserves a shot at D1 bball" I really do not know your background BUT I can tell you coaching at Lima Senior is NOT LIKE ANYWHERE ELSE in the area. Just because you have a couple of good/great seasons lately DOES NOT mean you are ready to Coach at Lima Senior. One other statement you made was "been hearing Mike Fell is pushing for his fellow LSH Alum and close friend to get it." Mike Fell coaches football NOT basketball and is NOT the AD or as far as I know not and really should not be on the selection committee. Lastly you stated that Bath has gone to the regional final the last two years without a D1 college player on the team. I am not sure if Sullivan is or was recruited by D1 schools (perhaps you do) I read that HE chose to go to Findlay because it was close to home. The teams that make it to the regional are NOT always filled with D1 players. I will do a little research and get back to you on that.

People said same thing last year about Fell and Lima Senior being extremely hard to coach the kids. But Fell made the comment "best surprise about coaching here was kids were just like any other kids I have coached. They worked hard and bought into the system" Lima Senior has really good student-athletes people just want to see the negative of LSH and the few kids who cause the big problems. Also, like Fell, Davis is also a graduate of Senior High so he has an idea of what he would be getting into.

Davis would bring basketball back to the era when they played with discipline. That was an old WBL coach also.....think about it. LJ
