Don't forget, there have been a lot of state champions out of the BVC over the years.

Arlington last year - LB has won multiple in boys/girls - HN won in football...you get the picture. The BVC always seems to be ultra competitive in girls basketball too for some reason - probably cause there are some very good coaches in the BVC that have been there for awhile. Baker @ Arcadia, Irwin at LB, Rogers/Newlove at Arlington to name a few.

Winning state doesn't mean your conference is good, it more less can make your conference "look" good.
No object is mysterious. The mystery is your eye.

That is correct but if you are talking about conferences being good then you have to have more than one school be able to win the league year in and year out. And the BVC has that. AGain, Leipsic, LB, VB, PG, Arlington, Arcadia, and McComb. Have all competed for the League title at some time over the past ten years. That's pretty good I think. LEaving only HN, Vanlue, And CR as ones that have yet been able to rise to that level yet. And with the Addtion of the new teams I think that will even make it more competative. Which means league games week in and week out there is an important game being played.
I also think LB has faired well in the past 8 years against the WBL. The BVC has been pretty well over the NWC teams they have played in their out of conference play games. So for the area they are in they are playing schools from out of conferences that can give them a different style of play to see.
