Be curious to see what happens here, if anything. The way I see it, there are two different sides to this incident. If this girl from DSJ is a repeat offender of this, she needs to be suspended indefinitely.

:furious:

And your definition of repeat offender?????????

Meaning I heard this same girl has done this at the New Knoxville game and somewhere else. Just a comment I read above. I don't know this for a fact, just going with what I read.

Venom.......

Ho many DSJ people did you talk to....lol.....in my corner of the world, the DSJ people want disciplinary action....and they got it following the meeting the very next day....DSJ officials did not waste anytime handing out the punishment and parents were in agreement........"sweep this under the carpet"....sheeeeesh....you have no clue.....it is what it is, and it happened at DSJ.....our school is no different than your school....when something like this happens, DSJ is on it and punishment is handed out!!!!!

WIth all due respect flounder, maybe some people just don't see it that way.\

Well, I was at the NK game and saw it, but no foul was called and many did not see it so in her defense, if no one saw it, how can she be a repeat offender......and to be honest with you....no one to my knowledge mentioned the VW game except Ctown....so who knows!!!

Well I am sorry but just because there was no foul called and many did not see it, doesn't mean she did not do it. I don't know flounder I never said she did I was just using the comment that was presented earlier so you will have to argue with that fella about it.

How about flogging, caning or some other form of physical punishment? I think the public humiliation of having to sit on the bench for the 2 games in her senior year is a good start. She was wrong, knows it and has been dealt the punishment. I am at a loss of what more is wanted. The other girl involved had the meltdown and got physical with the DSJ player and as has been known this was not her first rodeo this season with an attitude issue. Is she a repeat offender? By your definition, yes.

If you play sports long enough, you will take a cheap shot or have a crucial call go against you. How you deal with it will show what you are made of. The easy way is to do the same to your opponent but like we all know, the responder is the one who usually gets caught. I hope many people learn some hard life lessons from this game including the parents and grandparents who were there.

The fact that this happened at a girls high school game amazes me. Lately you see a lot of this action in a NBA game.

Flounder you seem mighty testy about this topic? Just giving my thoughts that's all. Another person told me that only the Lincolnview girl got ejected from the game. Not the DSJ girl that punched her. Also heard the OHSAA is stepping in and wants both tapes of this game, the New Knoxville game, and Van Wert game. Interesting.......

That's the second time OHSAA has come up about this particular incident...... What would ohsaa have to do with it? I don't understand.
They need to leave discipline handed out issues to the school's and pay more attention to things they should be governing!

That should make for some good viewing in Hawaii at their annual conference. I'd like to see the details on why hank zaborniak had to resign so quickly.

Obviously this girl has been causing problems like the incident against Lincolnview. If a girl is out there that is known for causing problems like this she needs to be suspended more like done. There is no room for this especially for the safety of other teams. If I was Ottoville I'd be careful of ger since they play each other soon lol

striking a girl in the face in 2 different games. I think the best definition is sucker punching.

By your definition, yes. can you give a example of this?? we are talking about a NHS student who has never been in trouble at school. But because she is a strong willed girl and plays her butt off she has a attitude issue. A example would be nice instead of just a wild allegation.

OHSAA can disclipline anyone particapting in their athletic events--coaches, players or refs. Lincolnview has sent the videos of both incidents to them and asked them to look into this further.

I, unfortunately, understand that.......but, as tragic as this whole scene ended up being, involving the ohsaa seems ridiculous to me; as, if to be believed the allegations made upon both girls in this discussion, that they've BOTH had prior incidents of less than stellar 'performances', whether it be just on the court or other sports, as well......... What's it gonna be; everyone seeing how much video footage/evidence each school can gather against the other to send to ohssa and PERHAPS, ohsaa open an investigation? We all know how fond ohsaa is of opening investigations to begin with---'cause, you know, they are so lacking in funds..... Gotta have those annual Aloha meetings mad dog was speaking of!!
I just think for now, seems each school has administered what they deem appropo discipline/punishment and everyone should move on......now, if there's another episode even remotely resembling this one, from either girl the rest of their careers, then, heads should roll!

I disagree. 1st the allegation of the DSJ girl striking 2 girls in the face is easily proved and 100% true. There are 4 teams who have recorded these incidents. I was live at 1 of the games and have seen both tapes. 2nd I have not seen anyone state or show prior incidents of the LHS girl that was less then stellar. Because she plays a hard and physical game she deserved to be punched in the face. Now I understand.

So in your opinion it will take a player 3 times striking someone in the face to end their career?
