This means that if Cooper is leaving in 2 years....the well is running dry. Scott should have known that the first time he followed Cooper as Head Coach. Cooper uses up the talent and goes to greener pastures. I'm not criticizing...I'm just stating my opinion.

Why so jealous Hound Dog. Did Coop not play your kid or did he kick your dog(s). I am guessing that LCC has real talent at every grade level. It is sad that a highly successful coach trys to do the right thing for the program as he nears retirement and all you can do is negatively bash him. I think that your animosity deserves a closer inspection as to why you are so bitter. Please explain.

Is this normal at the high school level to have a press release announcing the hiring of a defensive coordinator/ HC in waiting?
Has any high school ever officially had a HC in waiting?
this is LCC after all...........the same school who contrived the story about them NOT being kicked out of the NWC

in Lima, high school sports IS LCC..........much like Rush says, "the left leaning media bias towards Obama".......

The grass isn't greener on the other side, it's greener where you water it. LCC had just as much talent before Coop was at LCC.

I have not animosity towards Jerry or Scott. They both left Grove on their own terms. Plus in two years I could care less about what LCC has on their football team as they will not be playing any NWC teams anymore.
I can't quite understand where my statement above would be one of jealousy, etc...... But I can understand you LCC fans not liking me because Badlands and I got LCC kicked out of the NWC.......

Where in my post did I give any criticism or say anything about jealousy? I didn't make any reference to you in any way, shape, or form except to quote what you said. You said Cooper "uses up talent and then goes to greener pastures." I responded by saying that, at least with LCC, there was just as much talent there before Cooper, and they were awful. So, just maybe, Coop has a lot to do with the success and not just the "talent" on his team making Coop look good. Don't be so sensitive.
For the record, I couldn't care less what you or badlands think or say about LCC, so I have no dislike (or, for that matter, like) for either of you.

Calm down...I was referring to NW football fan two post above yours.

It also doesn't hurt to have unlimited resources to resod when needed. If the current grass isn't looking good why not bring in new from other places.

Ah well played metaphorically. Though the point of the original post was that LCC doesn't have more talent with Coop than they had before Coop.

Then your point couldn't be more wrong. First off Cooper is a good coach not great but good. Just look at LCC's improvement his first year. That was a result of good coaching. What Cooper is Great at is finding a situation where he can be successful and getting out of dodge when the talent is about to drop off. See Bath and Columbus Grove. To say LCC doesn't have any more talent now than before he got there is the most ridiculous statement ever. Yes, LCC has traditionally had good athletes past and present. Now take the traditional LCC athlete and add in the athlete getting out of the Lima City School mess. You now have the most talent ever walking the halls of LCC. So don't give me that it is all coaching B.S. It's good coaching and being in a good situation of having immense talent wanting to get out of the public schools. Now if Coop was a great coach he would be able to take that talent and do something in the playoffs.
