It was just announced that former CG head coach Scott Palte will join the LCC coaching ranks next season ;)
He will be named the "Associate Head Coach/Head Coach in Waiting" at the school on S. Cable Road......

this continues the trend of former CG coaches heading to the greener pastures at LCC and this one really has
to hit below the belt for all those who follow CG football..........I cannot wait to hear from our resident RC members
who are in tune with Bulldawg" sports.......

I think its clear now what coach won Grove a state championship, The same thing I've have been saying for years. Good Luck to Coach Palte. Coop needs Coach Palte to take that next step. Coach Palte wants to coach, this was his best oppurtunity for him to be a head coach again, cant fault him for that.

Perhaps, but this really has to sting a bit deep down if you're a CG fan......

Congrats and best wishes, Coach Palte!

Btw, were any other NWC area coaches working closely Coach Palte this year learning their offenses/defenses, other than one other that I'm aware of?

I'm wondering if Grove's not the only one feeling stung......

LCC made this move to prove to everyone that they do not recruit afletes to their school.....when Palte takes over the reins, he will work hard to get LCC reinstated to the NWC and all will be well......go Tbirds!!!!

Can see where some people think maybe Ada would be stung by this news as it is pretty common knowledge Coach Palte was working with Ada and attending games this past season

Ditto: Nice to see Coach Palte back in coaching. Wow will be really strange seeing Scott Palte as a T-Bird. I think the one thing that is lost in all this: Is LCC's willingness to look forward regardless of what the NWC might think. You are either going forward or backwards it is nice to see the T-Birds moving ahead.

Flounder you can not believe that LCC wants to return to the NWC (Not Wanting Competition). The NWC has very little to offer LCC's and their vision of competing at the highest level. Hiring Coach Palte demonstrates that LCC is on a different wave length than the rest of the NWC. LCC is demonstrating vision.

I think I just threw up in my mouth..... What a joke! Palte going to LCC will no way help them get into a conference.

My understanding is that palte resigned from grove a year ago, him wanting to take some time off. His returning to football coaching shouldn't surprise anyone. How was anyone STUNG? When LLC only has eight or nine games on their schedule, this probably will be a good gig. He better get ready for some cross state bus rides.

Et tu, Brute?

Is this normal at the high school level to have a press release announcing the hiring of a defensive coordinator/ HC in waiting?

Has any high school ever officially had a HC in waiting?

Possibly Palte is the one that bought the banner out of CG's gym??? Or maybe COOP bought it for him???

Good marketing. In these days of open enrollment, all public schools and especially private schools should get their name out their in a positive way any time they can.
