Of course it is pretty hard to out-class Steve Williman. I only wish my kids could have played for him, he is a class act.

Williman is a classy coach. He really complains no more than any other coach. Now the LB jv coach is another story.

Slingblade, I will tell you something interesting. I don't think ANYONE would or could argue you that LB's JV coach is not a circus on the court and during the games. He is the loudest and most animated bench coach I have ever seen. The first time I saw him in action (2001), I was stunned at what I saw.

But, my youngest boy was LB varsity team manager when he was in 6th grade and Ben was the kindest person I ever saw when dealing with my son. He was patient and a great mentor. The first time I met him (Ben, not my son LOL!) was at a National Honor Society meeting related to my oldest son. It was a one on one meeting with Ben and I was (again) amazed at the passion he had in promoting the kids at LB. He is truly a GREAT guy.

So its really sad that opposing fans and even some of the LB folks only see him for the time he is ranting on the sidelines.

If you've not had the pleasure, please go to a Bluffton High School game and watch their JV coach!! He's got to burn a million calories during the game. He gets a better workout than the players!!

I'm amazed that yelling and animation are automatically assumed bad...? I personally prefer such passion be publicly demonstrated. Now I've not seen the behaviors in question... so maybe I'm missing something. But the general concept remains.
I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

What's even more amusing is fans who go to games and pay attention to how the coache's act on the sidelines?? Who cares? They are coaching their team, some are calm, some are screamers.
I was shocked by this outcome. LB is loaded this year and Leipsic found something that worked against them, very few teams have. However, Leipsic's achilles heel is playing down the stretch. Playing running/ trapping and gunning ball is good for 3+ quarters, but at some point you have to run some clock, hit free throws and be disciplined to finish games. I'd be interested to know what Leipsic's record has been over the years in games of 3 points or less, win or lose.

Gotta love the screamers :hifive2:
