I saw DJ lose a similar type game this year, so I know how you feel being on the losing end. At the end of the night though, the better team is ultimately Liberty Benton. They played the entire game with their players and coaches on their team and still scored more points than Patrick Henry and that's the name of the game. Could Patrick Henry win 9 out of 10 vs. Liberty Benton?...perhaps, but that is upsets in the game of football. Look at Mentor getting leveled by Ignatius earlier this year, but turning it around and beating Ed's and Iggy.

Feel for the PH community, but that's the game of football...it gives you the highest highs and the lowest lows, and I can assure you, PH is far from the lowest lows even with their loss tonight. Best of luck to the Patriots next season. What is Patrick Henry bringing back for 2013?

Yeah We did shoot ourselfs right in the foot last night .. Congrats to LB and good luck next week - your offense better step up big time - I don't think they will stand a chance playing like the offense did last night - but we have a great defense - GREAT SEASON PATRIOTS -- sad to see you lose this way

If the running game was working so well....why couldn't they score after LB took the lead?

Blaming the coach for 1 call is bs. Look at what he has done with the program at PH. What...does he do? Win 9-11 games a year for the past 15 years.

Get a clue people. It's stuff like this that chases away the quality people we need to coach sports at any school. Most schools would beg to have a coach like Inselman.

A wise man once made the following statement "Three things can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad", guess we witnessed that last night.

I am not on here to bash any coach, but nobody on here will convince me there was any reason to throw the ball at the four yard line. Usually the very successful coaches have big ego's and that's what drives them to be what they are. However; sometimes that same ego bites them in the back side! Just saying.

L-B won the game and the opportunity to play another week, I am not trying to take anything away from them. Their team made the plays when they needed to and won the game. Take advantage of the opportunity and never look back, you've earned it.

Dug up some information this morning about how much LB and PH have dominated region 18 as of late (especially PH).

2012-LB over PH 22-21
2011-Hicksville over PH
2010-LCC over Jeromesville
2009-PH over Tinora
2008-LB over PH 28-0
2007-PH over LB 44-27
2006-LB over Ayersville
2005-PH over Wynford
2004-PH over Liberty Center
2003-DSJ over PH

The past nine years, PH and LB have combined for 7/9 regional titles, taking up 11/18 spots (12/20 if you count 2003). Only one time has neither team been represented in the regional finals. Very impressive to say the least!

Still cannot believe we lost last night. Everyone needs to keep your heads high as this team overcame a lot of adversity after the two losses and the loss of key players. Very proud of Z and all his teammates on a great season. Sorry to see this great group of senior football players play their last game. The juniors woke up this morning as seniors. Be great leaders guys as there is a great group of kids coming back next year.

Sounds like a hell of a game. I think it's awesome our two schools have dominated the region for almost a decade.

One of the most intelligent posts I've read in a long while...
I just hope he mans up and takes responsibility, I'm sure that qb will blame himself for the next 20 years, and that's not fair either. As a bystander who had no dog in the fight I just want to say good luck next week LB, and to PH it was a pleasure to watch your team play offensive And defensive lines were some of the best I've seen in recent years, I'm sure you'll be back in the hunt next year
Not sure which is dumber... An idiot or one who argues with an idiot!

Coach I has taken the responsibility. He did right away. He is a class act and one of the best around. He just over thought it.

Couldn't agree more, he's one of the best around and his record speaks for itself.

Just a shame that dominating offensive and defensive line play didn't get a chance to play another day. Wow, did they take over the game in ths second half. One of the most dominating line play performances I have seen in a long time.

Bad plays happen all the time in football. That one particular play, as bad as it was, did not lose the game. PH is still up 21-16 and still has the same dominating defense on the field. The aggressive play calling on 1 and 25 resulting in a 2nd interception is where i"m scratching my head. Run the ball, take time off the clock and let LB drive 60 yards on a defense that completely shut them down since the end of the first qtr. Panic on the sidelines cost PH this game.

The PH O-line was executing extremely well. Good assignment and fundamental football. O-line coach should be proud of that group.

I agree TIG....I was sitting next to Frank Barone and all he had to say was, "Holy crap!".

I think on our broadcast I just stopped talking for a second because I couldn't believe what I had just seen.

Blame it on the coach all you guys want. Just because the coach passes the ball does not mean the quarterback has to throw it, or has to throw a pick. The coach called up a play that would put them in position to score, because LB would commit to stopping the run. I don't think it is fair to blame just the coach, or just the QB, but a little bit of both is fair. Coach shouldn't have called it, QB shouldn't have thrown it.

In addition to the turnovers, PH had some costly penalties too.

I believe they had two illegal substituions and a chop block in the second half that were also momentum killers.

PH's line(s) DOMINATED both sides of the ball.
