I will go on record and say there is absolutely ZERO chance the game is at Lima Stadium. It will not be based simply on OHSAA rules. Lima Stadium is LCC's home field. So it will not be there. No reason to even discuss it or mention it in this thread any further.

Wapak it is then. They can't continue to punish LCC for playing there home games at the nicest field in the area. They were forced a couple years ago to play basically in Tinora's backyard when they were the higher seed...

For whatever reason OHSAA has done it a lot in recent years with putting Lima teams at stadiums that are at an "advantage" in someway to the opponent.

yes it was because it was a first round game. first round games are played at higher seed home stadium...usually.

Higher seed means absolutely nothing.

Like i said...it should. Instead of "seeding" then we should probably just pull names out of hats, and throw the "neutral sites" in there as well.

I can see OHSAA having this game at Wapak IF they do not have the Coldwater/West Liberty Salem game there. If they play Coldwater/West Liberty game at Wapak instead of at Piqua, then LCC will be playing at Findlay

Another thing, the Higher seeding benefit you speak of boomdoneeasy, is the fact that your school (higher seed) does not have to travel 3-4 hrs by bus in week 11 as did LCC opponent last night. After week 11 it all changes and higher seed (only if the #1 continues wining) only gives you the honorary title of "Home" team and usually the home side stands. Other than that they(OHSAA) try to locate centrally between competing teams.

C'mon people.....just play the game. I don't care if it's at Findlay or the Lima Senior parking lot on asphalt. As long as the field is 100x52 yards, I don't see why anybody should care. You make it sound like you need a passport and have to book a flight to drive 30 minutes.

I spoke with some fans from LCC's opponent last night; took them two and a half hours to get to the game. Their bus must have gotten lost if it took them 3 to 4 hours to get to the game.

I think you will see an entirely different and very fired up LCC team than last year and both teams better tighten the chin strap because it will be very physical, but I think LCC wins 28-10.

There is no neutral site that makes sense for these teams to play at, therefor, the site should favor the higher seed, LCC. The suggestion that BG would be a good place would be similar to saying Wapak would be a good place. Logistically BG makes no sense. It simiply has to be at either Lima Stadium or Findlay Stadium unless some how they convince a school like Bluffton U. to host the game.

Would love to see some games at Bluffton U. It would be a GREAT "recruiting " tool for them. But they would have to add seating to the visitor side and lights for sure. We can talk turf some other time. I really do think BU misses out on some good local talent by not showing off their stadium.

Plus its only a 2 mile drive from my house!! Just sayin. :)
