Key word "long run"..... unless Coop is retiring, the long run looks bleak for this program. Just sit back and watch.

How can you not consider LCC to be one of the favorites to win region 18? How is leaving the nwc not going to benefit them from a competitive stand point.

Since joining the nwc in 2006 LCC is 50-5 with three of the loses coming in 2008. Only 11 times in seven years has LCC played an nwc game within seven points. Ada has two wins, Grove/Paulding/Jefferson one. Common sense says the nwc can"t compete in football. Meaning LCC is better off

I would like to see links to both of these things as well.

Don't have a link, have a friend at a Lima TV station who told me he said that over the air when we were talking about it one day..

Those would be "key wordS". As BOB stated, how would the future look better without coop? The year before he showed up LCC was 2-8. His first year, he went to the regional finals with the same kids. You don't like coop, we get it.

Oh and by the way, his son is a 7th grader and he previously stated he would like that to be his last class. I look for him to retire in 5 years or less. When that day comes, LCC will not be a better football team.

your right ada was eliminated from bvc contention in that second scrimmage. Has Arlington beat a team with a winning record yet?

First off, since when has a scrimmage meant anything. The stat that should be said is that Ada is 7-3 vs the BVC since 2006, and the losses have been to Hardin Northern, and Ada has beaten Arlington (31-28), Pandora (42-14), and Cory-Rawson (51-14)

been a LONG time since that Arlington scrimmage at that point in time Ada had a lot of first time starters and put in a better linebacker and a few other adjustments that have helped them a ton. not to mention that Micah Roberson didnt play in the scrimmage he is one of adas biggest weapons on both sides of the ball and it showed in that one.

Correct the scrimmage means absolutely NOTHING ! That being said they could not even slow down the top 3 teams in the BVC.

And you know this because:
1) They played against them this year?....Nope that can't be it
2) You saw it in your crystal ball?......Naw..don't believe in that crap..
3) Because you said so......Ok got it, that makes sense

If you could name one X-factor for both sides, who would you pick?

Ada - Blake Ansley

LCC - Colin Stolly

Where else are they going to join to be a "favorite"? LCC is down this year, and while they have a shot at R18, they are probably about the 2nd or 3rd best team in R18 in my opinion. The NWC has struggled for years just trying to get into the playoffs seeing as how they are mostly in a tough to get into R18. A few years back when Grove was in D6, they won state and made numerous successful runs. Bluffton has had promising teams, but either didn't make it in, lost to very good NWOAL teams, or had to deal with a fiasco after the Matter ordeal. Based on team placement alone, it's a tough road for NWC teams based on their regional competition outside of Ada and Crestview having an easier path in D6 of getting in. Wayne Trace in R18 has a chance of making the playoffs as a 9 win team, but their lone loss was to Crestview who won't even make the playoffs...it is what it is.

Of which, it has been surprising to nobody considering what he had to work with at each respective school.
