Rain has seemed to slow down the running game/Decker's elusiveness this season more so than Acheson's ability to chuck it + War Memorial Park is pretty beat up from this past weekend
why is it Ada can never play in the rain but all other schools can?? Wouldn't an outstanding player be able to adjust to all types of weather conditions??

You can take your race card and shove it where the sun doesn't shine buddy. No mention of skin color was made. Just a reference to the collection of players LCC now has that have fleed from the Lima City Schools. When a good percentage of your kids fall into this category you deserve to be called Lima Senior Catholic.

Don't really know radio guy got that but Decker had around 200 yards rushing at half against Bluffton on as bad as field conditions as could possibly be...in fact when they had to finish the game the next day it was moved to Ada cause the field was so bad.

two of those teams there are under 500. Not a very good comparison!! And......I never mentioned a single player either...Was refering to the excuse(s) some Ada fans are talking here, have given in the past and most likely will again in the future. With that being said...I have nothing against Decker, I will take your word for it that he's a great player and a good kid. I hope he gets the college of his choice to make him an offer.

Naturally he had no issues in the Bluffton game. I was more referring to the Crestview and Delphos games, the most recent ones, both which were at Ada (both halves lol), in which were 2 of his 3 games this year that he didn't have 100 yards (93 and 97 according to our stats, respectively). In these games Kellen was SLOWED DOWN due to all the slipping on the field. I mean I think quarterbacks were sacked 3 times in the Delphos game due to the mud and Decker lost his footing multiple/many times while trying to accelerate or cut.
My Point: Obviously 90-100 yards is a good day at the office. But he was slowed down-if games are on turf w/no rain, Kellen has 150 on Crestview and 175 on Delphos.
So if in perfect conditions he runs for 85 on LCC's D, where's that put him in drenched field...? [Especially if the LCC secondary is going to shut down the Ada passing game]

I don't care if he has offers from every D1 school in the country, he is only one guy and no matter how he projects as a player at the next level he can only cover one guy. so you can game plan to avoid him, effectively taking him out of the game on defense.

I agree that D1 offers doesn't necessarily mean good high school football player. That said, if you game plan around him and "effectively take him out of the game on defense," you'll also effectively be taking your best receiver out of the game on offense - which is the CBs job in the first place.

With the weather conditions most likely being raining/wet and muddy like the past few wks even though sloppy weather hurts ada's spread offence i could see it being an advantage over lcc... i mean lcc lives off their speed and big play ability if its crappy playing conditions that could take that away, also lcc plays on turf most games and ada doesnt so ada should be some what used to these conditons by now. I just think that could factor into this game. But im hoping for a great game this friday!

Agreed...and by the way I think it is great for him and the conference and the area that he is so highly sought after. Back to the point, so he takes away Ansley...Ada still has Wilcox and Roberson that some would argue are just as effective.

Good point there about the field conditions...Look for Ada to possibly take a page out of some of the teams they have played this year by running the ball more to control the clock and keep LCCs explosive offense off the field. Also that may keep LCCs best defensive group the DBs from making a game changing or demoralizing play such as a pick six. I think the score will be in the high twenties or low thirties with Ada on top based mostly on the game being played at Ada.

As for my prediction, I believe Ada comes out on top 24-21 thanks to the leg of Hunter Waller.

If it does rain, it does favor Ada. This one will go to overtime or be real close-Ada's athleticism matches up with LCC's more than most think. Speed however.....lets just say Ada better tackle well
14-10 LCC wins spread should be LCC -6 or so
