Wade Gelhaus is who I believe you're talking about, he's committed to play for Saginaw Valley St. (decommitting from Findlay). That's nice to hear because Defiance has a lot of first year varsity players who need that confidece. They scrimmaged a lot of teams during the summer such as Toledo Central Catholic and Antwerp so that extra play must've helped them a bunch.

Nice to hear Defiance played well against Perkins in a scrimmage and not in the tournament...Perkins returns most of its players too, it is probably going to be the team to beat if that district is the same as last year.
