As a student at LCC in recent years, I kinda like the fact that so many people hate us. Made it more fun when we won games we weren't supposed to...

I think a lot of it has to do with Cooper being an elitist A-hole and the amount LCC players(and some fans) run their mouths more than anything. This is something that has occurred back even when LCC sucked at football. Regardless of how bad you pounded their team, their players always thought they were playing on Sundays and talked more trash on the field than any other team around and it still goes on today when you watch their games out there....they are constantly running their mouths just as much as Coop does. They act like one of the most classless teams in the area for being supposedly "catholic". Like I said, that's been occurring even when LCC sucked at football...adding the likes of Cooper to the mix just adds napalm to the fire.

Lol i'm sure that was satisfying for you...I feel like you took that as a cocky statement. I was referring to games like Archbold in the 2010-11 season where the majority of people gave us no chance. Guess i should have expected that rep :shrug2:

 Are you serious? Do you think LCC was somehow an enormous underdog in that game? It was mostly 60/40 and only because people didn't know if O'Connor was going to play.

Maybe if someone could actually beat LCC at something they wouldn't be so cocky, and c'mon Bucki...when things are good over there in Delphos you're right behind LCC in the cockiness pecking order. Look at the positives though! Cockiness is just a higher form of confidence leading to success in sports (my opinion).

We already put up with one school recruiting, don't want another.
What current athletes on this years or past years roster that have been recruited? That letter qualifying for scholarship is a b.s. letter LCC sends out t a ton of people to get peoples interest up and come in to LCC to see what it is about? They have to get enrollement up so they send a letter to anybody saying they can qualify but nobody does. Not that many students at LCC are on that scholarship system and the ones that are not athletes to major sports like basketbal or football.

Cooper is a elitest a hole? the man is a proud samaritan that does more for the LCC community then just winning games. I just met the athletic trainer from the university of st. francis ft. wayne and he talked about how Cooper was a great man back when he was in hicksville, and he followed Cooper ever simce then. Cooper actually stayed more classy than i thought he should have since the NWC turned their back on LCC.

When have things exactly been "good" by DJ standards?

LCC has been well known to be some of the most arrogant and biggest trash talkers out on the field. I have more than a few friends from LCC, and while I get along with them, that has never changed even when I was at DJ and beating them like a drum. Based on what I have heard from a few current players, that hasn't changed in the least bit...actually it probably just got worse since they are actually winning now and feeding their ego more AND have a Cooper like personality as a coach. It's not like I don't have friends that were former players from other NWC schools that don't agree either. They almost got into a post game brawl with DJ one year claiming some BS that they were called names after taking a beatdown and just having a poor attitude. I remember one year when I played JV, one of their varsity players, had the audacity to show up at the DJ/LCC JV game in his jersey and spew a huge line of vitriol towards the DJ bench while being on the DJ side...mind you this was after getting humiliated in the varsity game the previous night. It's ok...I remember the old timer from the DJ side, that promptly and forcefully put his mouth over on the proper side of the field.

LCC has never really been liked by the fans and players, because you know what kind of clowns you have to deal with on and off the field regardless of how good or bad they are.

Yes...we saw a great deal of that class after they got the axe and he had his post psychopath reaction on the radio right? Forget pride...go where the talent is...screw the kids if they don't have the talent. Real class. :bag:

You really can't be that delusional. Hell, nobody in the NWC liked him even when he was at Grove either for his elitist personality. Bluffton has had some good years in the NWC with Lee, and while some might poke fun at him from time to time, we respect the man as a coach. The same goes for Goodwin when he was at Allen East and he was always respected as a coach.

Csree, shut. Up. But I agree that with the athletes LCC has, they would be able to adjust to higher competition fairly quickly. Playing in the NWC doesn't benefit them when it comes to playing higher quality teams in the playoffs, but playing a quality team like Ada in week 10 helps a little..

Imagine that! Bucki and myself disagree on a subject once again. On the field Ada players were always the worst trash talkers then DJ was a close 2. Off the field LCC is clearly 1 and DJ is still 2 in my opinion. I always thought LCC handled themselves very well ON the field/court.

I know you are a Jefferson guy but with all due respect, Jefferson is just as bad (if not worse) on the field than we were/are. The biggest reason of any trash talk was in retaliation to the stupid comments of your own team. I know that since we're LCC we get that reputation of being classless, but stop acting like we're so much worse than everybody else. And the "Catholic" statement.... :wallbash: Every team talks trash on the field...catholic or not. IT HAPPENS. As for Cooper, he has done nothing but benefit the LCC community and has truly been a leader, especially when it comes to volunteering to benefit the school. I will probably be ridiculed for that statement, but i am confident that the entire LCC following on here will back that up.

LCC kids are just that...kids. All teams have a bit of trash talking. Every time DSJ and LCC played each other, it was just a good atmosphere. Most DSJ kids have many friends that play football at the school.

All I have to do is watch the games and I can see who is talking and who is not. I'm not going to pretend like it doesn't occur with select players at other schools, but there is only one person from DJ that gets too cocky at the moment that I can see out there. The rest of time you see the LCC players chattering away on the field and some of the stuff you hear is just ridiculous and should be flag worthy.

To each their own...you played different LCC teams and have watched different LCC teams than I have.

Coop left to where the talent is? remember when coop came to LCC, LCC just came off another losing season and he turned them around to a playoff team. The reason LCC has talent is because the culture changed to a winning atmosphere which changes the athlete to drive themselevs to win. Psycopath reaction? The man held his tongue from saying what he really wanted to say.

LCC players aren't the only ones who talk on the field. I was a african american player for LCC, and i heard more racial slurs on the field playing in the NWC every game, so our chatterb doesn't even compare to the chatter said to us.
