This team will NOT fail. They may or may not go 20-2, there's a lot of things that have to go just right along with a little luck in order to have a season that great, but I am NOT one of the people that sit around every year and talk about how good Paulding is going to be. However, this year they do have what it takes, and they will have a very good record and they will make a deep run in the tournament when that time arrives if they remain healthy. I'm not talking about previous Paulding teams, I am souly talking about this years group, so until we see what happens THIS year, I will not zip it, but maybe you should try to shut up and quit doubting these kids though.

Without knowing a ton about too many teams on Pauldings schedule, I do know this history and tradition of nearly every team they play. That said, I recognize that has ABSOLUTELY zero bearing on the outcome of this season and the results of the games. But, I will attempt to predict each game of the season and see how I feel about Paulding. I already know creatingballers and whatever that crazy kool aid will find something wrong with this but hey, keep drinking buddy and I wish Paulding luck this year.

@ Continental Toss up, I'll say W
@ Antwerp W
vs. Defiance L
@ Wayne Trace L
vs. Montpelier W
@ Allen East W
vs. Van Wert L
vs. Bluffton W
vs. Liberty Center W
vs. Parkway W
@ Grove L
vs. Fairview W
vs. Crestview L
vs. Ayersville W
@ Jefferson L
@ Ottoville L
vs. LCC L
@ Hicksville W
@ Lincolnview W
@ Ada W
@ Bryan L
vs. Spencerville L

End record 12-10 (4-5 NWC)

Looks about right to me. Some of the wins and losses may be switched around but I still see somewhere between 12-10 and 15-7 being their max potential.

Overall, I think this looks pretty good...I'd predict wins over Jefferson and Ottoville, but you yourself said there was more potential for wins. We'll never know until the games start and I know I'm excited for the games to start. Thanks for the good wishes and good luck to your Tbirds this season (except for their game against my Panthers lol)

(My hopeful and possible end record) My prediction, no. As I said, hoping for this result. Will be decided on the court, where it should be.

How dare you doubt the kids on Paulding's schedule? Lol, relax. It's not about doubting any set of kids, it's about Paulding being a contender once a decade, maybe.

I am relaxed, and I'm glad that "the once in a decade" team that you talk about is here this year. I'm also so thankful the season starts tomorrow and what happens on the court can speak for itself!

Paulding has tons of size this year. I just hope their shooting can keep up with other teams they play. Eventually leading to a 15-7 regular season many more wins. With an averagely deep tournament run

Consistency in shooting is something Brewer has pointed out as a concern. They had nights last where they were dictating tempo and letting their defense create transition (win @ Crestview, vs. WT) but lost to inferior opponents on nights where they weren't executing at all (@ Bluffton, @ Ayersville). If they can establish post games with Roehrig, Schroeder, and others inside early, it'll open lanes for slashers like Foor and their perimeter shooters to get good looks. Hopefully, they're able to pull off a win tonight on the road against Continental!

Paulding. Won. By 11. An. The classiest thing I have ever seen in high school basketball. Continental sent in a mental handicapped kid at the end of the game. Automatically. Schroeder #55. Ran around to all his players and whispered something in all their ears. Then took the ball out on a tour over and ran down the court for the travel. Then took the handicapped kid and motioned him to the block and guarded him. He let him shoot a basket. And scored his first points in his career. Classy moment Paulding Panthers

Paulding was up 21 in the 4th quarter and coasted it out for a great 12 point victory. Not too bad for opening night, started out a bit rough but they got the nerves shook out and started playing good basketball. I know they are going to be ready to get back at it tomorrow night! Paulding Panthers 1-0

The deep bench played a huge roll in Paulding's win tonight. The Panthers found themselves in foul trouble very early in the ball game, but the players off the bench didn't miss a beat. Paulding was up by 25 in the 4th quarter and coasted it out for a 19 point victory. PAULDING PANTHERS 2-0
