Preseason ranking were : LCC, Grove, Spencerville, Ada.
and some polls had Jefferson above Ada, so in some cases they were at 5th. I'm just stating what the polls said, go against them as you wish but thats what they were.

I recall the same thing. I figured the thinking of all the people in the know at the time was:
1. LCC is still the bull of the woods
2. Grove beat Ada the year before
3. Spencerville finished the previous season 8-2 with the majority of players returning (not to mention Coach Zurb)
4. And after all, Ada is rebuilding this season, right?

Not sure why watching Ada play a Crestview that squeaked one out against Bluffton would change my mind. I think the entire league is down this year, so they may run throught it .

Arlington has wins over Riverdale, Arcadia, Pandora, and Van Buren. Those in glass houses should not throw stones.

I feel that if ada played Arlington again.. Ada would win easily, hands down. During the scrimmage micah roberson, an Ada receiver/db was out due to an ankle sprain at the park way scrimmage. Even though he is only one player, he is still a huge factor in Ada's offensive and defensive gameplay and to me, is an underrated player.

Grove was without a coach the majority of the offseason and was starting under a new coach. I didn't really see Ada as "rebuilding" based on some of the players they had coming back and their prior success. Just because you lose your QB, doesn't mean the wheels are going to fall off the ship at a place like Ada. Yea, I know they lost other good players, but I know the mindset of most people when they see a QB leave in a spread offense.

They have had a good quarterback replace their last 4 quarterbacks. every year you people say Ada is going to have a down year.

Speaking of Grove did they get their good RB back from the preseason broken leg? I heard he was suppose to be very good....... Obviously if he is still out that would play a roll in how good they are.

I never said a single thing about Grove.
You said that Ada had not faced a team that ran a spread and could run the ball out of it

No they do not have him back (Derek Rieman) i believe he is out for the whole season and yes he is a stud he would of been a HUGE part of groves success

Ten pages for a thread about Ada looking good. Wonder how many we could get if we started this thread about Kate Upton? She looks really good.

Probably about half a page. Now if you get Slicer involved, then it would put a new definition to the word "infinite".

Ada's only weakness is depth. If these guys are fresh and healthy there might not be a better team in D6 but since a lot of the guys play both ways, they could get tired and the big play could present itself somewhere down the line in the playoffs.

If they are getting tired, they better just stop playing football.

Actualy they have the least amount of people going both ways that they have ever had (in the coach fell era at least) so that wont be a problem
