Yup, it's the truth. They must have finally played as a team. More goals in this game than all season i believe. Let's hope they can continue and compete for the wide open NCOSA

The grounds crew at Bluffton mistakenly treated both the soccer and football fields with the wrong chemical this week, so the grass is pretty much dead. It was also fairly soft from over-watering (I suppose to try to reduce the effect of the chemical), so footing was iffy. Celina's keeper made some great stops in the 2nd half to keep Bluffton from pulling ahead.

O-G definitely outshot Liberty-Benton. Shots on goal seemed to be a little closer. Great game between two very good teams. Personally, it was a treat to see such a well played game from both sides. Those have seemed to be few and far between so far this season.
L-B is very skilled and really possesses the ball well. O-G is unbelievable in the air, and extremely athletic. L-B defended the crosses/set pieces well enough until that last cross with less than 2 minutes to go that O-G converted and which proved to be the difference.
Would not be surprised if both end up making deep tournament runs in their respective divisions this year.

Just going by what their scoreboard showed. But I agree, a great game....LB is a quality side.

Definitely was not disagreeing with you, just adding more clarity. O-G definitely took more chances on goal, but the amount of quality chances was a little closer. L-B hit the post in the first half, and had a few really good opportunities in the 2nd. O-G had several point blank chances that L-B's keeper denied.
Really was a well-played, hard-fought game. Wish we would see more of these types this season.
