What’s funny… another “posse” member is very delighted to have T.Y. as the coach. T.Y. has treated their family very well year in and year out due to coaching their offspring’s in another sport. Is this is the head “posse?

Maybe the head “posse” is going to have the last laugh.

Could be interesting between the two groups.

Nope...neither the "head posse" or the "assistant head posse" are the person you are speaking of.
The "possi"bility of posse infighting is intriguing to say the least.....lol

There were 2 internal applicants and a few external.......(didn't have an exact number, but you could count them on one hand)
the interviewing process went smoothly and a job offer will be extended at next Tuesday's BOE meeting......haven't heard of any
rumblings from "the posse" but it would seem that they are pleased somewhat. I say somewhat because 3 years is an awfully long
time to have someone looking over your shoulder.......
The "posse" hasn't had an official meeting since early March but election of officers will be taking place this weekend at the SRT
down in Butler Co........why Butler County I don't know, but that is where the meeting will be held.........they will be electing "el presidente",
"el vice-presidente", "secretario", and "el videographe".........
the new coach hasn't been in official contact with this group but has been working through intermediaries....the superintendent has more
in this than one would suspect and there have been conflicting reports on just how involved he has been in this entire process......
I believe that we can assume who the lucky next contestant on "Who wants to be the next coach at OG?" will be (not to be confused with the hit show, "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?) but I am going to wait
until after Friday's games down in Butler Co. before letting this cat out of the bag............RM

An Arkansas mother has sued her son's high school for cutting her son from the school's varsity basketball team, claiming that he was deprived the right of a full education because he was not allowed to take part in school athletics.
As reported by Arkansas Matters and USA Today, among other sources, Teresa Bloodman, the mother of a Maumelle (Ark.) High freshman, filed suit against the school, district and state after her son was replaced on the school's basketball team following a third set of tryouts for the team that re-incorporated members of the school's football team.
Bloodman's son, who is a minor and was not named in the suit, spent two months as part of the team after qualifying through two tryouts in August only to be replaced three months later by a member of the football team, as were nine of the team's 11 original players.
While those replacements might stoke claims of favoritism, the lawsuit filed by Bloodman goes much further, claiming that her son has a constitutional right to participate in school sports, as you can read in the excerpt from the suit directly below.
"…the deprivation of the right to a full and complete education which includes competition in sports and consequently athletic scholarships impairs John Doe of a property right guaranteed under both the U.S. and State Constitutions."
The suit further alleges that the sheer lack of an orderly appeals process for students who were cut is also a violation of due process.
While the case itself could serve as a watershed in how schools hold tryouts for varsity sports, the attorney for the Pulaski County Special School District is confident that it will be seen as groundless once it is further examined in a court of law.
"The simple issue here is whether or not a student has a right to participate in extracurricular activities; be it band, choir or whatever," Pulaski County Special School District attorney Jay Bequette told Arkansas Matters. "There is no clearly established right of parents to have their children compete in interscholastic athletics."

BOE made their decision based on evidence and you are arguing it still. What is your argument? If a coach isn't doing well anymore do they get to keep their job because they used to be good? Is a parent who isn't happy with a coach always wrong?? If a players comes and tells you a coach is doing something inappropriate do you still dismiss it and act like they are just being oversensitive? That league is a joke up there anyway. Come down and play some big girl Basketball. Bath is the only team that can compete.
That is some funny stuff right there. Big girl basketball????. I am assuming then that you have multiple state titles hanging in your gym??? I am sorry. But, I think I would rather have our league the way it is then have a big girl league with little minds.

and at the first practices there was a noticeable piece of the puzzle missing...........
like Forrest Gump was so famously said, "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get until you open it up"
