No, my point is you call our league a joke. OG is in that "joke" of a league...You are from Dayton area...what exactly is your connection to this whole thing anyway?

People - don't argue with Big AAU Coach Joe - he knows it all! The WBL has been very well represented over the years at State. Elida - Champs '97, appearances '90, '95, Wapak - Champs '09, Celina - Champs '91, appearance '88, - Bath - Champs '87, appearances 96, '99, '02, 08, '12 (hope I have not excluded any school- if so sorry!) NW Ohio has also had some schools that are not in the WBL who have made appearances at State - Ada, Allen East, Arlington, Bluffton, Delphos St. Johns, Delphos Jefferson, Kalida, Liberty Benton, Lima Sr., Ottoville, and Upper Sciota Valley - (hope I have not excluded any school- if so sorry!) Goes to show there really is some talent from NW Ohio and the WBL League. So stay down south Joe and keep your comments to yourself!!

Most Athletic Directors and Varsity Coaches and their staffs call the Rocket Corner the Gossip Corner. In the past I have always liked to hear what was going on with other teams results, schedules etc...but in the last year alone I have had at least 20 coaches or administrators call the site a joke, in so many words....it reminds me of MSNBC talking Politics when their comments are totally different than Fox News listening to the same exact speech. It is funny....Off of the record the people that know the game or situations often say the opposite of what the non-coaches consensus seems to be saying on this site. I will continue to use the Rocket Corner for a place to catch up with Scores, matchups and possible Tourney Draws...etc.

I think you are underestimating the power of the 'corner.....20 seems to be a very low number. I could see in the case of many of them (elida lcc , wapak, etc) That they would be less than pleased with us........I would beg to differ though on the MSNBC comment. I would put us more on the level of Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, or any of those other hate mongers....We've always said the rc isn't for everybody so maybe our gossip bothers them....I really can't say...But I do know that they read us!

Landess if the leagues up here are a joke why were you a frequent visitor to the OG games at the end of the season? The game I saw you at you were even playing your coach role all dressed in a coaching shirt complete with a whistle around your neck! Looked real classy LoL! Also you may not be an official member of the posse, but I would guess that you are very connected to them as the game I saw you at you were talking to the videographer & the power point editor! I heard then that you made appearances at most of the games after that including tournaments. Pretty sure you were siding with these people & complimenting them on their little angels as 3 of them are now paying you to coach their little "hoopstars" & tell them how great they are! Hope they get those almighty scholarships or you better tell the hoopstars to beware of the posse!

Not totally sure, but St. John's might have been in the WBL when they won a couple of those championships back in the 70's.

You know people, I hated to see OG's coach go....always thought she was a hard nosed person who would give all to her girls....I can remember in the past when she would refer to the team as my team, and used the word I instead of we....I always hate that, because it sounds selfish, since 'we' are a team...a unit...and that includes the coach.....that being said, I really have no reason to have wished her bad luck on anything.......just my opinions...

As far as Landess.....I never knew he coached AAU.....I had sons and a daughter play AAU.....I never cared for it....it always seemed that most coaches were wannabe's.....it may have changed since then......but, I do know that Landess does care about girls hoops......probably more than anyone else on this board.....of course, excluding.....Rocketman, Flounder, and Dabbs....if he is speaking the way he is, it is because he has a pretty good reason.........even though you don't like hearing his reasons....

So, instead of bashing on Landess, try seeing his point and understand that it is his view and opinion.....he has a right to voice this, so try giving him a break!!!!!

BOE made their decision based on evidence and you are arguing it still. What is your argument? If a coach isn't doing well anymore do they get to keep their job because they used to be good? Is a parent who isn't happy with a coach always wrong?? If a players comes and tells you a coach is doing something inappropriate do you still dismiss it and act like they are just being oversensitive? That league is a joke up there anyway. Come down and play some big girl Basketball. Bath is the only team that can compete.

Wow Landess....I am betting that the Siefker girl from Ottoville and the Meyer girl and Craft girl from LB (all 3 are some of "your" players) are thrilled to hear you say the programs up north are a joke......Bath is the only team that can compete? If my memory is correct, the joke of an area (up North) had 3 teams competing at states, with one state champion in Arlington. Bath was one and LB was the other........c'mon get a clue.......

Rumor I hear is that you are killing the Dayton Hoopstar program.

I sure hope Yant gets the job at OG....this will surely put an end to the "posse"...it's easy for them to bash Lori...I'd love to see them go after Yant!! .....one at a time or as a regrouped 'posse'.....he's hard core and doesn't give a crap what the 'posse ' thinks!

Someone posted awhile back that Yant was seen talking to the posse members before the season was over. Is he part of the posses plan?
