Not all that surprising if true. He gets an awful lot of credit for being a good coach....but with all the talent he's had there, his teams sure seem to struggle come tourney time. I don't recall more than a few times where I've seen a VW score and said "wow, can't believe they won that one"......but there's been a lot where I said "wow, can't believe they lost".
