I went by Stinkys earlier today and things are starting to look to come together..........

1. The BUD semi was there.......
2. The Miller Lite salesman's van was in the parking lot.....

I know that is a great start

I know Roxx is bringing in some more tables and chairs to avoid having to have everyone sitting on each other's laps like last year...(I mean it was seriously crowded)
and the Hillside Winery will be having a "wine tasting" earlier in the day on Saturday......they have decided to keep this "tasting" separate from the Beaver tasting that
will be going on later that evening.........
Big Stan is marinating the beaver starting tonight over at his house............there should be a few cars there if you're interested
The Health Dept. is scheduling a visit tomorrow to check everything out.....(last year it seems that there was an issue with how it was prepared and whether it was "inspected")

the weather looks to be decent so I would expect another sellout and a great crowd............don't forget!!

don't worry about directions folks..........Stinkys is conveniently located 6 miles east of Ottawa, Ohio or 15 miles west of Findlay on US 224........

Today is the day!...................plan your day in Gilboa, Ohio by visiting the Hillside Winery this afternoon and then moseying on over to Stinkys
for some of that delectable beaver that will be served starting around 6pm..........

Late last night Stan finished up with the marination process and now has it gently placed in the ovens to slow-roast until it is time to serve...
I am a little concerned that we aren't getting any more feedback from our members on their plans to attend this gala event........for all that
Bob Doo and Roxx have done for the RC in the past, they really need your support today/tonight

They also have arranged for a professional photographer to be available later this afternoon if you desire to have your picture taken with
the "Big Bull" located in our lovely park.......this would make a great time to get your friends together and do something fun for a change!

A great crowd tonight...... Everyone has on their beaver shirt And we just got finished taking a group photo Out by the big bull........... I'll see if I can get the picture posted to the site later........BTW, the meat is mouth watering with just the right spices!......... still plenty of time to get on out here...........RM

Whew!!!.............what a night
of course the main focus of the night was the Beaver, but as always there was a whole lot more
60 lbs., more or less of the most delectable fare known to man.......
and there was some BBQ pork available for the less adventurous

I am still trying to post the pics of the group photo that was taken out by the "Big Bull"but I'm having trouble
with all this new-fangled technology........

DJ Gerdy rocked the house into the wee hours of the morning and everyone seemed to be having a great time
when I left around 1:00am.........I hope that everyone who was there had a great time and will tell their friends
about this annual affair............always the first Saturday in March

I don't think the Slicer was there, at least I didn't recognize her if she was
and no, I wasn't sitting by the door..........the majority of the night we were sitting towards
the back where they had the pool table pushed.........if you saw a lot of empty shot glasses,
that was our table.........RM

the group photo pic has given me some trouble in posting to the site........I'm trying to get Sis to do it
for me............I also took many pictures during the night (most not suitable for a family-friendly site such as this)
but there are a few I'd like to be able to post.........I just can't get my phone to text the pictures.........I just wish I would
get me one of them new-fangled Iphone thingies.........they say it's really easy then..........RM

Sorry I missed it, Ash had a race in Dayton. I have to get her ready for next weekends state race. It's nice to win the first state race of the year. One of these times I will make it over.
