Stinkys annual
Beaver Eating party is scheduled. for Sat. March 3rd...........a good time is promised by one and all.......

It seems that Roxx has some great entertainment lined up for that evening............

Big Stan will be basting, broiling, and then slow cooking the beaver to perfection....... 4 those of you who have never tasted this delicacy I encourage you to show up on saturday march third 4 this great event............ a veritable who's who of local and national dignitaries are usually in attendance....... marcus down on your calendar now!

I think it was mentioned on THE TODAY SHOW this morning.

Roxx will be on WLIO's mornng program with Holly Gaeman next Wed. at 6:30am......(I don't know how she plans on getting up that early, but whatever)......She will explain the origin of
this party and how it all came to be.......

If past years are any indication I would highly suggest that anyone wanting to partake of this midwestern delicacy arrive early
Serving will start promptly at 5:00pm with the first portion of Beaver going to the Grand Marshall of the event this year......why, none other
than Big Ed who will signal with his fork the start of the contest........

the beaver is usually gone by 7:30pm or so as Roxx and her staff doesn't want any left lying around the next morning so they only make up
enough that they know will get eaten.........you know the old saying, "the early bird gets the worm?'.........well in the case of the beaver the
same exact thing could be said ...........

there will be entertainent, contests galore, Tshirt sales (no, not RC logo shirts either), and guaranteed fun for everybody in attendance......
around 11:00pm or so the patrons in attendance will help select the "2012 Miss Stinky Beaver" winner.........this is always a highlight
of the evening as they then raffle off the opportunity to be with the winner for a time...........come on out and enjoy the best of what Putnam Co.
has to offer in the way of great entertainment and the stories that you'll be able to share with your friends many years from now will be cherished
like no others...............RM

I was very shocked to learn tonight that this was my 10,000th post .....how appropriate that it was made
on a thread about Stinkys Country Well and one of the main benefactors of the RC in it's infancy........I will
never forget what Bob Doo and Roxx did for this site and I am forever indebted to them.........I can't believe
that Slicer didn't alert me to impending milestone as she is the only member who has more posts than I.....
(actually 3 X's as many)..........RM

I JUST, I mean literally just (not even a half an hour ago), sent you an email pointing out a funny correlation to our post numbers!!!

it woulda been more pronounced & noticable if you woulda just made a whole new post instead of 'adding to'... so don't blame me for my oversight as i was getting to this thread...... eventually!!

i think RM changed the title of this topic 'cause i coulda swore it read 'contest' before....and anyone that knows me, knows imma sucker for any contest and was thinking i CAN NOT pass this up this year!......but, apparently it's not a contest, which suits me just fine because i was very worried about how un-ladylike i would appear chowin' down, mouthful of beaver, juices running all down & over my chin & down the front of me, in front of a crowd of ppl..... ( i tend to have some pretty quirky etiquette habits when it comes to eating 'sloppy' foods.)
so thank you RM for removing 'contest' from the post.... perhaps i can get some sleep now that i no longer have that worry.

Stopped into Stinkys last night and Roxx said that they have sold pre-sale over 150 of their "Beaver Shirts" for next Sat. night........they are ordering 50 more.......

DJ Gerdy will be spinning the platter (no, not dinner platter) and will be taking requests........all I asked Roxx is that she keep the "beaver rap" to a minimum...
she is also going to the licker store on Monday to stock up with the essentials........tell your friends and come on over........this is one party you don't want to miss......

after going to Stinkys again last night after our girls game it looked like the crew was putting the finishing touches on getting the place ready
for next weekend's big party.........

I cannot stress how much fun this get-together is..............there are 6 contestants who have signed up for the 2012 "Miss Stinky Beaver" contest
already and Roxx is hoping to get a few more this week.

last week I also mentioned that Big Ed would be the "Master of Ceremonies".........this has changed unfortunately.........HOWEVER, one of his younger
brothers has agreed to step in and take his place...........yep, the original Beaver of the family will be emceeing the event...........the RC is trying to
somehow provide a "live feed" from Stinkys for at least a part of the evening..........I am trying to contact Zsportslive to see if they can provide a "play by play"
of a couple of the contests............thanks RM
