What difference does it make what he says about the issue?

I think adding a couple of teams to the BVC will do no harm. But I'm not sure that LB will get what it wants with the two additional teams. I think they may have better results by moving to a conference with schools in it's own division, not a conference with 11 schools one or two divisions smaller. At the same time, the BVC will be a worse off with out LB, as they represent the conference well.
Even if lets say a couple of smaller schools like Ada and NB are the only ones added, the thinking among the LB staff is likely the opportunity to schedule 2 or 3 non-conference schools instead of one. That is a game changer for LB because the opportunity opens up to keep a larger school like Elida on the schedule for at least one of these non-conference games. Who knows, maybe even a MAC school or a Patrick Henry or LCC would be considered as well. That would make up for playing mostly D7 and D6 schools.

Just wondering...since I haven't checked yet...how firmly entrenched in D5 will Liberty-Benton be? I have read at least one post that states where they may be getting smaller class sizes coming up. Might they be a team that bounces back-and-forth between D5 and D6? If so, then it may not be such a big issue concerning playoffs as some might think. Besides, with an extra division, there will be more overall teams making playoffs in Ohio, so really, each division will offer slightly better chances for all teams to make the playoffs.

All the talk about Van Buren moving is funny. They rarely are competitive in any high school sport (football, basketball and baseball). I guess size matters...but if they were thrown into this group (along with PG), they may never win a game.
PG's numbers are declining as rapidly as anyone's in the league. I doubt they are looking at "moving up" in competition.
I do like your suggestion - that would be a very good league. No way Kenton moves from WBL though.

Here's another scenario: the 4 eastern NWC schools - Ada, Bluffton, Grove, AE, with PH, and the LB led BVC group form a new league.
Or the BVC expands by adding HL and NB and then try to get Riverdale and Ada for the 2 division league of 14.
