And it's not like he drew bad teams to pitch against. Delta is usually solid and Napoleon is always good.

Tuesday finals included a big win for Wapak over Shawnee 4-0. Crawford was the winning pitcher holding Shawnee hitless for 6 2/3 innings before a single broke up the no-hitter. Wilder took the loss for Shawnee despite throwing 5 innings of no-hit ball. This was a very big win for Wapak and a tough loss for Shawnee. It pretty much establishes Wapak as the primary challenger to Defiance for the 2012 WBL crown.

He's not much over 85...but his off-speed stuff and his control make it awfully tough for NW Ohio kids who haven't touched a bat since July to handle. He was down south 2 or 3 times in the fall and didn't pitch much.....he has pro scouts looking at him as an outfielder due to his bat. As of now, he's going to Louisville to play baseball....but nobody is guaranteeing he'll be pitching when he gets there.

I saw him last year pitch, would you guys say his change-up is his best off speed pitch? It looked very nasty when I saw it.

Anthony Kidston beat beat Elida yesterday. He topped out at 90 and his fastball was consistently 87+. Iwould say his changeup is, indeed, his nastiest pitch. It is REALLY tough on high school batters.

Big game at Defiance tomarrow. Hoping the weather cooperates. Expect a nice crowd from the Defiance faithful no matter what the weather is like. Hoping to see the Wapak fans come out to support our guys in what will be a great game. Expect greatness...

Is O-G good enough to get there in D3? Pretty sure the D2 teams will end up meeting up in regional, although a Defiance-Wapak game at state would be a great thing to see.

Before O-G can think about going to state in baseball, they will have to step up and beat one of the upper level teams left on their schedule.....a win over Wapak or Napoleon would go a long way. Big wins this year have been over good Fairview, P-H,and LB teams. State in baseball is not out of the question for O-G. The young Titans will need to have a few more players to step up at critical times in the game, continue to get good pitching from young pitchers (enough to give them a chance to win)), and get a team who wants to pitch to Schroeder! When given the chance he's pretty good! If not this year for the Titans, the eye is on next year.....Best of luck to all WBL teams as tournament is right around the corner.......

Eager to see how the Defiance / Wapak game turns out....!

With losses by Wapak and Shawnee last Friday, Defiance is in the driver's seat for the WBL title, but they still have big games left with Bath, Celina, Shawnee and Wapak. With league games backed up and sectionals coming soon, the DHS pitching staff will be tested soon.
