How could you leave Ben Miller out?? he could be a all ohio goalie....I agree with the Schmidt kid from Continental as well....my top 2 picks are Ben Miller and Troy Kloppel...Scott Keck will make 1st team PCL as well as Vonderembs

No way Trever VonSossan could be in the running. He's too inexperienced. I'm not saying he is not and will not be good, but as for this year's POY, certainly not. Just because he has two goals and is a freshman, great for him and his team. Last year's POY was Matt Burgei, how many goals did he have? It isn't always about scoring goals.

I agree that Trevor Von Sossan shouldnt be in the running but he did tack on another goal to his sheet. He is now up to 3. I think he is starting to silence his preseason critics.

I heard Ben Miller had a chance to get it. i watched him play MC and Ft Jennings and he let up 2 goals both games. IMO he's overated

Yea its not all about goals...i know.....but u cant win without goals and fj probably wouldnt be winning without him. I know he is not mature enough yet but hes the rookie of the year in my book and hes not the poy player i know!

Ben miller has been some what of a disappointment so far this year....i myself believe hes dropped out of the running for it this year.....i also wasnt impressed with schmidt when i saw him play......i saw it goes to either scott chandler or aaron vondermes this year

I totally agree with you, but I would also throw Troy Kloppel into the mix.

last year Ben Miller was 1st team pcl and 1st team all district. IMO i dont see him getting either of those awards. Look for von der embse to get those awards this year the GK from Kalida.

As for anyone who thinks Brad Bruskotter as a chance, I would have to disagree. He may be quick, fast, physical, but he is way too out of control. He's good, no doubt, but certainly not ready for POY.

As for Ben Miller?? I guess I just don't see what you see.

Overated? His defense is good but not awesome. When his defence gets burnt and leaves him out to dry theres not much you can do! He is doing all he can.

umm well for my opionon... FJ forwards?? without the one you say is trever? (the freshman)
without him I think fort jennings would b undefeated right now...
anybody can put a ball in when your 6 feet away... the ONE goal he had was cont... and i do say
nice header... the rest... fluke goals... and kalidas goalie was just ummm idk let it go right through his arms even tho it was slow rolling...

Troy kloeple I think is a all around good player... but no my pick for poy by any means
he dribbles to much

Scott Chandler Great player I HEARD? injuries? and saw him lip a bit? not sure maybe somebody can help me if he returns i'll pick him POY

Bruskotter ISn't aggresiveness 90% of PCL? yes....
he's what it takes he held jennings tog. against Cont. when the other two defenders got burned repeatedly

Keck? NO... didn't do anything against jennigsn which shoudl've been the most imp. or second imp. game of the reg. season...

Schmidt it's hard to tell.. everybody is always double teaming the kid... all he could do was one touch the ball away .. (long ball in continentals case) but atleast they were good one touches

Ben miller yes he can dive... an dprolly best goalie in pcl by far but not player of year
he is a lil to qiuck off his line i think... but i'll give it to the kid... amazing hops...

Brandon miller (havne't seen him play?)

vondermbse let a slow rolling ball go right under/through him against fj...
u asked so tehre's my opionions... smile.gif

I agree with the assumption that the chandler kid is in the front running. After Fort Jennings defeated Continental at Continental, they should have a fairly easy task in winning the PCL...again. As for all the bashing I am hearing about Ben Miller having a down year, I don't get it. The guy lost all four of his starting defenders and the top defender off the pine. The young defenders need to step up quick if the Pirates are to make any noise at all this year. From what I saw at the games at MC and FJ, the defense hung Miller out to dry early and often and all he did was save their hind ends a dozen times. So he has allowed 4 goals in as many games, but if he had Kalida or FJ's defense, he would run away with the award. POY should be the player most valuable to his team and that is by far Ben Miller.
