[slice slice baby]

My one & only baby, baby slice, is off the market.......

No immediate plans to walk down the isle....looking at a 3-5 year window~~which is very good for me, as it will prolly take that long for my tears to dry up!

Congrats to her & my future son-in-law! May they always find happiness in one another and in the wonderful love that they share.

Congratulations to all!!! As a mom who has one already married with 2 very beautiful grandchildren, & one engaged to be married in 2013, it really is a fun time for you & your daughter. In fact, next week we have an appt. for a bridal store in C-bus to look at wedding dresses, & we are making it a girls day out. I figure as long as you love the fiance as much as if they were our own, then that is half the battle.

And to those of you gettin' your jollies calling me 'granny'; that WILL NOT (better not ) happen for a long time, as I am not old enough to be a grandma!!! chronologically, of course i am, but not psychologically!! ..... nor is she, to be a mother..... and I know these things can happen, but, although they are adults (she, 21; he, 22) and they've made "this step", they both have well-laid plans for the next few years that would be greatly hindered if they had a young'n......i really believe they're both level-headed enough to know that would not be an ideal situation anytime soon........and seriously.... you have NO IDEA the GREAT sigh of relief i had ('inside thoughts', of course!! lol) when they said they planned this as a long engagement!!

Anywho.... he is a great young man who has enhanced her life & i couldn't be happier in her choice for her life-long mate (sure had me worried w/the last couple before him!!! lol) ...and of course, he picked the best girl in the world, too!!

Ah, a wedding. To add to the stream of good news, my parents are in for a busy 2012. They have:

1. Their oldest son (me) getting married in October.
2. Their second oldest son getting married in September.
3. Their middle child and only daughter having her first baby in June.
4. Their third son earning his Master's in Occupational Therapy in May.

Needless to say, they are very proud of all of us and our accomplishments, but they are tickled to death at the prospect of being called Grandma and Grandpa!!

Congrats to your daughter, Slicer, and to all those with reasons to celebrate!!
