Arlington does not have the poy he is at the 'Lue and only a jr he is being looked at by several D1 schools. Just my opinion.

I will take that bet ! Catie Craft was only a Junior and is going to Ohio State, she did not get player of the year last year for the girls.

Probably better win the league title to get a claim on POY honors. Teams that finish 3rd or 4th don't have POY's.

Well, sounds like a down year in the BVC if nobody can tell me the names of any good guards and the chaos in Vanlue which I read in the courier today, it sounds like arlington,l-b, and leipsic are the teams to beat.

As for POY, who cares at this point but IMO I believe it will boil down to either Recker or the big kid from Vanlue. I suspect Recker gets the nod since he will be playing on what should be a better team and won't rely so much on others to get him the ball.

I really like the kid from Vanlue though - he would have looked great in an Arlington jersey...:)

Arlington has looked very good in scrimmages to date, with the big struggle being how to manage playing time across 8-9 kids and keep players/parents happy.

All I can say is WOW all this talent at Arlington they should dominate the BVC this yr. Well I've heard this before during Basketball and football. How about we just wait and see?

In today's world of high school sports, I think it is parents who get the nod!!!!!

NWSPORTS - No question, we will all have to "wait and see" about this team. Not sure what that means about "I've heard this before"....it wasn't all that long ago that Vermillion's boys team went 20-0, and since that time several very good teams since. I guess that qualifies as having good talent doesn't it? Am I missing something?

That team in 2003-2004 won all 20 regular season games, won the sectional title, and lost in the District finals to Fort Jennings - a team that we beat first game of the year without our big man (Beach) who sat out that game due to injury. It was a real tough loss to a team that many thought was on the top 5 teams ever assembled in the BVC.

I'm a little worried after watching my A-team get outscored by Van Buren in the Preview this weekend. We looked very flat and VB showed they are a force to be reckoned with in the BVC this year. It will be very interesting!

Nothing has changed here folks. One must take the BVC preview for what it's worth.
