Country Concert in Fort Loramie, Ohio will be held again this upcoming weekend..........I haven't taken Mrs. RM in a few years but with Carrie Underwood
and Lady Antebellum headlining it might be time to make a return engagement.......what RC members make this an annual excursion and why do
you really go?.........

I don't go because it's a slur of annoying drunkenness, country music, and hickdom like no other in 1970s campers with jacked up trucks. If anybody wants that, all they have to do is drive down to Spencertucky.

I used to go for the party. Was never a country music fan until I went for a few years and got into it a little more.

Eight years ago I went and ran into a girl a few years younger than me, also from New Bremen, out in the camping area. She was coming from our campsite to see if anyone was there to party with. No one was there so she was heading back to her campsite to meet up with her friends. I just came from there and none of them were at her campsite either. So we spent the evening walking around the camping area together trying to find our friends, but finding enough parties to stop at until heading back to our own campers after failing to find our friends. The next day, a few buddies and myself were walking up to the concert and saw the girls packing up their camper, getting ready to head out. I asked her for her number. Now we're married with 2 kids!

I wouldn't mind seeing Luke Bryan 'cause I'm totally in love with his song, and he has several other rockin' party songs!!!!! Even if you're not a new country fan, like me, he's pretty decent....and Lay Antebellum's quite good, as well. (even though I'm NOT a new country fan! ) I did use to make this trip annually, but, it certainly wasn't for the country music. ....We provided our own music at our site!

I wanted to go this year for the afformentioned Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum. Carrie and Hillary Scott both just need to dump their guys and realize they can't do better than me.


As far as the actual show goes, I've seen Carrie Underwood, Lady A, Luke Bryan, and Jason Aldean. I'll be going to see Darius Rucker later this year. All that I truly wanted to see that I haven't yet that's there is Montgomery Gentry. In the end I just couldn't justify spending the money this year. But I WILL be going soon, hopefully next year.
