B) Nope, and it was a very exciting game. Beats a good old 1-0 game any day.

That's a basketball mentality....score alot = exciting B)

A 6-5 soccer game just doesn't sound like a well played game. Maybe both teams were playing a 2-4-4... :P

Well it's better than us Playing St. Mary's to a 1 - 1 tie at the end of regulation and that's it.

Defense wins championships. Giving up 5 or 6 goals does not.

Yeah, the US women's team found that out.

Also, that's why I pointed out we played St. Mary's to 1 - 1 tie. We changed up or defensive line-up.

You still need to score to win, though.

Van Buren or Riverdale will win this league.

Liberty Benton beat Riverdale 4 - 2 last night.

Riverdale starts 7 sophomores (along with 2 seniors, 1 junior, and 1 freshman)...so the future looks bright for the Falcons, also. I wasn't at the game, so I can't comment on which team actually had more control of the game. The Courier mentioned that Riverdale had the lead in the first half, and L-B did all the scoring the rest of the way. I also didn't see any stats concerning shots-on-goal, or saves for the Riverdale goalie...so kinda hard to go by the stats that were reported.

I know from watching black swamp games (in previous years) between L-B and Riverdale that these match-ups are usually pretty good games.

Good game, L-B. I'm guessing that between L-B, VB, and Riverdale, we'll see some pretty good competition the next few years in this league.

The game was back and forth, both teams had spurts. I feel that Riverdale started off with much more intensity at the start of the game scoring first. That seemed to wake LB up. I don't have the final stats either, but I am pretty sure LB out shot Riverdale, although neither goalie had alot of saves, Riverdale and Liberty has always been a good rival in soccer, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Which is good, a league is no good if there is not competition. Although 4 sophomores scored, (3 of the shots bounced off Riverdale players and went in) LB does start 5 seniors in key spots. Which does help with experience, and depth. And LB used their depth which seemed to help especially in the 2nd half. And you could tell Riverdale had some inexperience on the defensive side of the field.

Big Game this week Wed. not looking ahead, Kenton isn't a league game though, so as far as league games go.

Van Buren vs. LB at Van Buren any thoughts. I think we will see just how good the 8th ranked D3 state team in the state is. I am curious to see how that tough schedule Van Buren played iif it has them ready for LB. Though I know they have been thinking about this game for ahwile now.
