Defiance wrestling won possibly more than 60 straight, twice - in the late 70s/early 80s, and then again in the early 90s. Based on the standings, the 90s was 77 at most and the other one was 70 at most.
Wapak wrestling also won a maximum of 60 straight in the late 90s.
Shawnee boys tennis had a maximum streak of 61 in a row in the early 90s.
The only one I know for sure is Delphos St. John's girls basketball won exactly 54 straight before exiting the league - without ever having lost a game.
I also discovered six other possible maximum streaks of 53 at most, but that's at absolute maximum, so it's not likely those streaks were over 50 games.
This win streak is the longest in WBL history of the major sports, only Delphos St. John's is longer if you count the major girls sports too. What I think makes Defiance's streak so impressive is the fact that no one else in WBL baseball history has ever gone undefeated more than two years in a row, and most of these long streaks happen in sports that hardly anyone cares about, and one team dominates those sports. I just eyeballed it, but it looked baseball by far has had the fewest amount of undefeated champions of all the WBL sports, over the years. Also of note, no one else has ever won more than two outright titles in a row, and only St. Marys (3) and Delphos St. John's (4) have won three or more shared titles in a row, while this is Defiance's third streak of at least four shared titles in a row.
