As we look into the Crystal Ball, those District Qualifiers look to be set and ready to reach the next plateau "STATE".

I ask again unsure.gif I am not real in tune with how the area JH was last season... Any freshman standouts?

Can't find much on the junior high kids, but here is the site listing on Baums page to last years Spencerville Jr High tourny. It lists results as well as their grades. Could be a good indicator of Freshman that may make some noise

Freshmen
As I scan through the list ...
Derek Kuhlman Shawnee is very good and so is Tyler Smith Elida. Both of these boys have spent time on the mat during the off season year in and year out!
Colin Ingram and Adrian Mack (Bath)were pretty good last year also but they may not have weight classes open.

Alan Tyrrell(Elida) also took a first in Spencerville, I believe he is a freshman. Can not find out much about Lemmerman from St Marys is he a freshman this year?

First Place @ Spencerville JH Invitational 2010

Does anyone have any preseason guesses on what the line ups will be in the WBL, or is it still to early?

So i guess bath losing all of their seniors is going to weaken bath a bit, but wapak looks pretty strong as they bring back martin, beemer, erb..

Martin, Beemer, Masillo, Erb. And until otherwise proven wrong this is it. Wrestlers from the WBL, districts is no joke. Finishing first at Sectionals has proven time and time again that it is not a guarantee to state. I hope all the guys make it and I wish them all the luck in the world. Mental preparation is 2/3 of the game boys/girls, believe in yourselves!

The time is coming very quickly... The excitement is brewing... Wapak and Shawnee get the very strong Findlay Duels and Bath gets thrown into the always strong Sidney Duels.

Does anyone have the lineups for these teams or the other WBL teams going into this weekend?

This is just an hypothesis on Shawnee's line up for Saturday at Findlay:
103-Kane Plaugher (10)
112-Trace Plaugher (10)
119-Croft (11)/Joe Arthur (10)
125-McDermitt (11)/Kyle Miller (11)/Croft
130-McDermitt/Miller/Knott (9)
135-Knott/Shaw (10)
140-Trent (11)
145-Sam Smith (10)/Kolton WInce (10)
152-John Gould (10)/Mike Wise (9)
160-Gould/Wise
171-Jesse Dlemaotte (12)
189-Zach Ault (11)
215-?
285-Adkins (12)

My guess for Wapak's lineup

103-Martin
112-Dean
119-Beemer
125-Valentine
130-Neu
135-Windle
140-Wiseman
145-Mauk
152-Dauch
160-Brown
171-Beard
189-Pickens
215-Erb
Hwt-Fleck

A couple new faces, and a couple returning faces too! Should be a solid team throughout!
I ignore Spongefag and Turn&Blow. :)

Bass, History has shown that for some reason teams keep their lineups quiet as long as they can. We should get a good view of where everybody is this weekend.

This has always struck me funny. It is like Mangini not letting anyone know if Derek Anderson or Brady Quinn was going to start. What is the point? You either wrestle or you don't. You go out to win regardless of who is across from you on the mat. I don't think the coaches get any edge by holding back info.

I agree wholeheartedly, however the only advantage would be one of sneaking up on another team. Bath for instance it actually may be a situation where they do not want to show where Meeks is wrestling due to a team attempting to avoid him. Or in the same breath they may be attempting to keep thier freshmen cards close to thier chests for the same reason. Oh and they are wrestling in the Sidney Duels and that makes it personal smile.gif The cards will be shown tomorrow!

Wapak really has no secrets this year, there will be no sneaking up on anyone... Everyone will be gunning for them from the get go! boxing.gif

Shawnee could be in the same boat Bath is a few truely above average wrestlers and the rest.

Elida has few secrets a team going against Elida will get what you get and this year it should be right in line with Shawnee and Bath! Maybe a necessary reason to attempt the sneak into this weekend! shrug2.gif

Defiance well as for WBL competition everyone will know prior to a head to head matchup! No sneaking for the team from the North West!

Celina the quiet Sister of the Poor! The oversized Boise State of the WBL! One can never tell what will come out of that Mercer County area. But just as Defiance there will be little secrets after this weekend! sleep1.gif

Kenton Shhhh ... A move in might have happened no one can tell until tomorrow!

OG Well the small school with a great Basketball team and a good wrestling squad. Be careful the sneak may be coming from Putnam county, not a title but some serious spoilers! sudsy.gif

St. Marys - Auglaize County has Wapak this season, no sense in sneaking!

Van Wert- Can Massillo find anyone in the area to want to step onto the mat with him? Not real sure about the rest of this Van Wert County school but I know of one standout smile.gif coffee.gif

Bass if you go to this website, http://www.nwcaonline.com/nwcawebsite/home.aspx. click on NWCA stat tracker, click on high school team profiles. You can find the team you are looking for. Shows weights, roster, etc. Not sure if it's correct, because some of the boys in weight classes look too big for the weight class they are claiming. We shall see. This should help. I agree w/above poster, shouldn't matter secret or not, its going to come out sometime. wink.gif
