With the Sectional draw a little over a week away. Curious to hear everyones thoughts on who gets top seed and who gets out of the Ottawa and Ottoville Sectionals.
Ottawa Sectional: Top teams, Ottawa, Kalida, Bryan, Miller City. All with 7 or 8 wins. Throw Liberty Benton in there as well with 5 or 6 wins as also a possible winner.
Ottoville Sectional: Top teams, Continental, Fort Jennings, Ottoville, St. Johns. All with 6 or 7 wins.
So who gets top seed and who gets out ! 2 pretty good sectionals if you ask me.

This is a little unrelated to the thread, but is on the topic of soccer tournaments...
Is there a chance in the near future that the OHSAA will add a third division to girls' soccer? I had read in a post somewhere that if a few schools in the state add girl's soccer that the OHSAA would go to 3 divisions. With the popularity of the sport and watching as some of the area schools have went from club soccer to adding a girls' varsity team, I'm thinking we may be to the point of arguing that it would be a legitimate move.

We were told at the OCCSA coaches meeting this year that a third division will come 2 years after we have 500 schools participating in the state tournament. There were 497 teams in the tournament last year if I remember right and I know of at least one new team just in our area so I would suspect that we go over the magic 500 number this year.

Liberty Center and Van Wert have new programs this year. That right there would be 499 unless other schools have had to terminate their programs due to budget. As far as the sectionals, looks like OG or Bryan (but in a year like this where everyone is pretty even I could see Kalida, VB, MC or even my beloved LB play for the chance to move to Findlay). Ottoville or Delphos St. Johns to come away from the other sectional.
