koch played at OU. i played for him this past summer for the lima legion. koch simply had no idea what he was doing. He has no clue how to coach the game of baseball. He could never put the best lineup he had on the field, and honestly he had some kids playing nearly everyday that didnt deserve to be out there. I recall countless times where he lied to some of the players telling them that they were going to start a certain game. The players parents would drive two hours to an away game just to watch their son be lied to and sit the bench. He literally argued every call that he didnt agree with ( pretty much every call) and it would effect the team rather than just him. He has brought down the lima legion program all within one year. He is the worst coach that i have ever played for and i have played for some really great coaches in my high school and current college career. He is an embarrasment to the lima legion, and to the great game of baseball. Hopefully Cheney does the right thing and gets rid of him so the kids that can still play dont have to deal with him anymore.

Wow...what a great first post! I hope that if this is true that the right people hear this powerful message and investigate further.

Your right, the emphasis should be placed on the player and what they can or can't do. Good coaches very rarely take any credit for when a team wins. They attribute it to good play and eliminating mistakes.
Do you like your boss? regardless, they probably don't care as long as they are getting back what is expect of you.

KochOU26, why did you delete the posts? You only had them on here for bout 5 minutes and deleted them! Did a cooler head prevail? Your thrashing of the umpire was comical, but I noticed you didnt defend the coach's language.......?

Well, you know....... it takes an umpire to know an poor umpire. Apparently, the decripit one got the best of him that night besides, maybe he forgot to take his medication? All the same, I know its wrong to use that kind of language, but who hasn't been exposed to it in baseball by now????
Don't call him a coc _^&*%#@ either.

Sounds to me maybe Lima coach had a pretty talented team of players and he was looking for leadership for the following year. Besides, the real deal is .....No one cry's in baseball!

My two young children, both present that night, hadn't been exposed to that kind of language. Previously

I have heard Bill Cheney has stepped away from the Legion Baseball Program. Is this true? If so why? Is his health ok?
