Bluffton will have two of the best pitchers in the area, that should be enough to win the NWC

Kind of what I thought.. if they don't go 8-1 9-0 in the conference it would be a disappointing regular season

I think that Bluffton will win the Conference this year, but I strongly feel that Crestview and LCC will contend with them. Crestview is going to be a tough team with Joey Overmeyer on the mound this year and the strong coaching. This summer, he through a no hitter against LCC. LCC is going to be good this year too but who knows. If I recall last year this time we were all talking about how dominate Crestview was going to be last year because of the pitching of Balliet and Zollars and the hitting they had coming back. So it is hard to tell who will win the conference. Chenny and Goldsberry could have a bad year and either Crestview or LCC might pull away with it. Or it could be the opposite. I think it is a toss up at this point.

if LCC had one more pitcher that threw 75+, they would run away with conference in my mind. They're pretty good about 1-8, and i only see Bluffton being good 1-6. Paulding lost Riley and i think pretty much everything revolved around him.

If you think and believe that you are really missing something. He was no STAR by a long shot!! He didn't hustle and was more of a headache than anything.

Paulding returns all but Riley. They need to get consistent pitching and defense and continue to have the bottom of the line up hit.

Paulding will be in the mix and one of the favorites, but need to play each game as they can and get into the games from the beginning and not get down!!

Consistent pitching , defense and having the bottom of the line up hit is about the key to any successful teams dont you think? No disrespect to paulding but thats a lot of big IF's.

Bluffton is my favorite. Goldsberry works the hardest outside of the season and i expect him to be the best player/pitcher in the conference let alone his team.

Just curious how you know how hard every other kid in the NWC works out outside of the season. I'm not saying he doesn't, I'm just wondering how you know that to be an accurate statement.

LCC has some good young pitching to eat up some innings and get some wins. Also they have some good bats that will add to the lineup they already have.

I say LCC beats Bluffton

And ACME ball can help, but when teams have guys playing legion and other leagues in the summer, you can't hang your hat on it

With Cheney, Goldsberry, Falk, Wannamacher,Steingas and Stratton, Bluffton should have no problems winning the NWC outright this year.

Good Luck with that the kids at LCC have a chip on thier shoulders, since the Basketball team and football team have a state trip and many of them have that experience, they will be tough to beat.
Also
Confidence goes a long way!!!!

Weather and how your pitcher line up can decide a conferance title. Especially when teams are in mutiple leagues.

You don't have to be unbeatable just good enough to win!!! LCC also had two kids playing legion in the summer.

I dont want you to think that I think LCC is not good....I was just giving my thoughts on who would win Bluffton or Lcc because some people make LCC out to be the best team they have ever seen playing the game of baseball...I chose bluffton because of their pitching

I don't see Bluffton winning again this year. They got lucky against LCC and and got beat pretty handley by paulding. I see LCC getting the crown with Paulding in 2nd and Bluffton third.

It is great to see the competition in the NWC. There are certainly the annual, consistent teams and then there are those schools that "come and go". Look at the consistency at Creastview, where they have had a program in place and consistent coaching. Bluffton has had new coaches year after year. While they have had a group of players that have played together for many years, they are starting to lose these players. That core group is getting smaller and smaller as the guys move on. When I asked a parent about this, they said that four or five players were left from that core and said with the four or five graduating this year, the ability to compete in the future will be lower. That group had, according to this parent pretty much the same summer coaches over the years. Now with Bluffton's new coach, they can start to build and keep things going. Should be fun this year!
