Oh is that why they are back to back State Champions? don't be hating on a team with a great tradition , a great program , and a equally great field. It wouldn't have mattered what regional the Pats would have went to they have proven they are one of the best programs in the state of ohio! hence the back to back state Championships

2 years ago they ROLLED Ft Loramie and Hiland in the final four
Last year the pitching was incredible in two great games
This year the young players are stepping up huge
To say that the only reason they got to state was because the regional was on their home field is ridiculous....the games havent even been close

I don't think anyone is saying they would not have won regionals on a neutral field. I don't think you can underestimate the value of being in your comfort zone during a tournament when people may be nervous.
I would argue the games might have been closer.
This just does not make sense. In basketball when Toledo St. Johns played Lima Senior at a place where they played a bulk of their home games the entire area was up in arms. The radio talk shows were pissing and moning and it was a big deal. This is and should be a big deal in baseball as well.
If it is not a big deal... I think Patrick Henry should offer to play tonight in Delphos.

I am not from DSJ (and proud of it).
If you are suggesting the that DSJ is the only team that is upset about this then you need to get out of Hamler for a day.

What should PH do? Refuse to host the regional? They have a terrific field and I've heard do a great job hosting. Take it up with OHSAA since they are the only ones that can change the way things are done. Candy Find Member's Posts May 31 2009, 08:52 PM Post #1
"Patrick Henry returns to the state tournament for the second year in a row. First year Coach Sunderman is not missing a beat from the previous head coach."

The previous coach won the regional on his home field and so did Sunderman...
What does my comment about PH last year have to do with me not liking the fact they play on their home field in a regional tournament.
I do not blame Patrick Henry for wanting the game. I am saying it is an advantage and the OHSAA should move the regional elsewhere if they are participating in it.
