Yeah that's exactly what I thought too! But then again, you can't really count on too much from Elida anymore. People are dropping like flies and nobody seems to care anymore at that school. So it really doesn't surprise anyone.

Rain was a little harder around Lima with the a.m. rain. I think they also erred on the side of caution since they host a regional next week. This now means Lammers & Pohlman are potentially back in legally for ten innings if need be, while Webb, Drummelsmith & Niese are potentially knocked back in innings pitched

Drummelsmith's out, has been for about a month with a broken ankle.

We thought Jared Niese might get the start. He pitched great against Continental, they just couldn't get the offense going.

I am guessing they had a quick trigger on this one partly because Miller City had graduation sceduled for last night. Good luck to the wildcats today.

niese did throw a great game against continental..but lammers is the ace and if he can go, he has to. im sure he feels fine on 3 days rest and that cancellation played out well for both teams. i expect to see lammers vs. pohlman this evening in a great game.

Coach Metzger decides to go with the totally fresh arm & it pays off as Webb gets 11K's & wins 6-1 over MC. Lammers looked a little more tired today & Niese came in later. correct me if I'm wrong Jays fans, but did Webb & Leininger even play baseball last year at all? That just speaks to their athleticism if they didn't

Correct, Leininger ran track and Webb took the season off!!! GREAT game by the Blue Jays today and Nate threw an excellent game. Those two are just natural athletes and right now, this team is clicking on all cylinders and looking good! GOOD LUCK AT REGIONALS

Play the regional on your home field?? I think I would have a problem with this if I was any of the other three teams in the regional.

Don't get me wrong... PH has one of the nicest facilities in the state, but a home filed advantage in a regional tourny. I disagree

This has been discussed ad nauseam last year. PH has had this regional for quite some time. When they moved to D4, they contacted OHSAA about if they could continue this regional or if it should be switched with D3. OHSAA doesn't seem to have a problem with it, so contact them with your complaints.

Yepppp.....here we go again. This has been discussed and discussed. I knew the second PH won that this would be brought up again. You obviously haven't been on this forum last year, when it was talked to death.

I can tell you that it has been discussed with the OHSAA by several of the area D4 coaches. From talking to one of them I expect this to be the last season it happens. The quote from the OHSAA earlier this year was "well PH isn't doing that good, so they're probably not going to make it anyway" That was told to me straight from an area D4 coach who made a call to the OHSAA asking about moving the regional from PH. Typical OHSAA...put off any and all decisions and wait until AFTER there's a problem to fix it, rather than being proactive in any way.
