Billy is a super coach and so is his father (Wayne!). This crap that "the voice" puts up here about him being done...that is just plain sad.
If it weren't for Billy taking the post in St. Marys this year they wouldn't have had a team at all!!! The schedules were already made out from what I have been told and they had to scramble to get their schedule together on the short run!
To come out now and have problems with the way he coaches...sorry. He teaches baseball the way it is supposed to be taught! I for one hope the SM Post Commander stays with him.
Players that don't want to play for him...don't play...there are other players out there that would love the opportunity to play for him.
Sidney starts the team back up there...I wouldn't be surprised to see him go back to Sidney...then St. Marys would be wishing they had a coach again.

Thank you to those that have said some kind words about me on here. I do love to coach and I am very lucky to have coached some great kids. I do however want to respond to the article in the Sidney Daily News about Sidney Legion Baseball starting back up. First off thats awesome news for Sidney kids as well as SCL players and coaches it is another place for the kids to play and at a higher level. This is something that is long over due and hopefuly will raise the talent level around the area.
The second thing I wanted to say is that I will not be the coach. Dad and I had a great run as coaches at Sidney and had some awesome players and met some great people along the way. I personally started out as the batboy in 1985 at the age of 9 and every year was a part of Sidney Legion Baseball with the exception on 1993 when Sidney wasnt going to have a team so alot of players found other places to play then Sidney decided to have a team so I kept my commitment to play elsewhere only to comeback in 1994 and play and coach till last season. Legion baseball was my familys summer vacation. I really wouldnt trade it for anything, even though it is volunteer and you actually go in the hole with gas and food expenses it was and is worth every minute of it.
Next year, I will continue to coach at St.Marys Legion it was an awesome experience this year. We started putting a team and schedule together in the middle of April which was tough cause alot of players committed other places to play and scheduling usually starts around Thanksgiving so finding games was tough. We ended up with 28 games scheduled and we had 52 yes 52 kids out for the team. We had alot of young kids mixed in with some college kids. Next season we are going to expand the schedule to 40 plus games and get into a few overnight tournaments. We have 90% of our roster back next season and great backing from Post 323 which they have been awesome to coach for.
Now, I know most of you are smart enough to realize that a certain individual on here obviously has a person problem with me and his credability has taken a severe hit on this post the last month or so. I ask that you dont respond to any negative thing about me that he wishes to post. I see no reason to lower yourself to childish 3rd grade recess rumors. By the way this will be the "Year of the RAIDERS"
