I answered your question on who hit the home run.

I knew they could play like this, I have seen them b4. . Marlene and Ky r hitting the ball. They r coming along well,

Pretty good effort tonight. A few mental mistakes made it closer than it should have been but a win is a win...AND, they are improving!

There is nothing wrong with TB's post. The criticisms were constructive and not insulting. I was one of the ones jumping on TB when he was overly critical your your kids in earlier posts, but now it seems like you are baiting him.

I don't have a dog in this show, I'm just calling it like I see it.

If you can not take some good and bad you are in a fantasty world. Ky about got hurt tonight, infielders not calling out pop ups, leva and her ran together Ky went down scraped her knee. Harmless injury, yeah but two girls were on 2 outs they were running if pop up was dropped score is at least tied. or we cud be behind. I am not being hard on any of the girls, they need to talk, call out flies and pop ups. If you can not accept this I know you never played for my father. Got it

Pirate Blue. That is what u said not me. If u want to sugar coat the truth go on, u should know better that to lie. U know what I said and so will everyone else it is still there for all to read. They have to learn to play together make the game easier for all. My father after the game said there is no excuse for not calling out pop ups. Yes he said that. he said other things that he seen. So it is not just me.

Yep -- lepiota -- he took the bait: hook, line and sinker. I am just getting a kick out of how someone who knows so little has all the answers. Plus, what his Dad did 30 years ago is irrelevant. The game has changed. TB just loves to hear himself talk. pokey.gif

The team is doing GREAT. Gosh almighty, yes they make errors; both fielding and mental, but it is called learning. They do not need to be pointed out in public -- the coaches have it under control. Maybe you've read this before: Let the coaches coach, the players play and the parents/fans provide a positive attitude -- cheer them on.

Sing with me - -- - - "you got to accentuate the positive . . . ."

Ya goof -- I cannot actually edit what YOU said -- yours was still there. But YOU edited it last night. Please do not call me a liar -- don't really know where that came from. But I am glad you and your Dad are having a party of 2.

I, for one, have had enough of TB's ironic comments! The girls played a good game, rough seventh inning, you'll have that! As for the skinned knee....HELLO, IT'S SOFTBALL!!!! If that's all you come away with, you're not playing hard enough! Were you on the field TB to hear or not hear someone call the ball? Weller, threw a no hitter until the 6th inning. Not too bad for a freshman, I'd say. There are more than 2 girls hitting the ball on that team, or were you off smoking somewhere and didn't see that? It's great that you can sit back and bad mouth a bunch of teenage girls, leaving out of course, your daughter, who acts like she could give a crap less about the game, and gives half effort. When you are nominated for the softball hall of fame, for NEVER playing the game, but knowing it all, then we'll talk! I think this is a rough year for the girls, and they are coming together quite nicely! Every game they get a little stronger. And you have no idea how those girls felt, tired, sore, upset, happy, because they along with their parents, avoid you like the plague!
Personally, I think if you have nothing positive to say, SHUT UP!

Wow........Wow........ I would imagine at Pirate games the lawn chairs are NOT all clustered together. Good to see you come out swinging Newbie. Now isn't that better than watching in silence?

Adults should know better than to get on a public forum and bad mouth teenage girls. For one thing, it's a game. I take it just as seriously as everyone else, but c'mon! Just wondering how wonderful it must make him feel to get on here and do this?! He has to get some sort of enjoyment out of it! I think the team is doing great job at rebuilding and coming together as a team. If there is anyone of those girls that can get on the field and win the game all by themselves, I wanna see it!!!! I talked to Weller after the game, as if she doesn't kick herself enough, she had to hear comments from ADULTS! Burke does an awesome job as catcher, but was also kicking herself. I hope those girls don't read what he has to say, they don't need the negative comments, aren't we as adults supposed to cheer on our local sports teams and not belittle them?! Everyone makes mistakes, they're kids! Not sure how spectators can sit in the stands with TB and not strangle him!!! I feel for you all!

Ah, that was why the other thread was shut down and this one started. This one was to provide praise and positive comments.

It's early in the season, there has been vast improvement. As I said before -- they are going to be "scary good". I, for one, am very proud of the girls and the coaches.

I hope you'll all forgive me for being rather blunt. I've followed Pirates softball on here for some time, but never posted, felt the need to do so today. I know it's like having a battle of wits with an unarmed man, but I just had to get my opinion out there.

We, as adults, need to think about what kind of example we are setting for our kids who are all on the internet also! But I guess that is more important to some of us than others.

Lady Pirates need to keep their chins up and keep working hard! Come out swingin' ladies, you'll be great!

Certainly naming a specific kid in a negative way is not a good idea. I don't think it's wrong to say "The outfield play isn't what it should be." or "The middle of the order isn't hitting" They are kids, after all. So that's where TB slides off the tracks with some of his comments.

I've never met TB, (as I was not at the Bath game when our girls flogged you), but from the reactions on here I would say he is a dandy.

Meeting TB is an experience in itself and not one most of those who know him want to repeat. I know that sounds terrible, but he just doesn't know when to stop, and everyone has had enough.
