He plays much more like a senior than any point guard I can ever remember coming in and playing right away. He just doesn't do any of the stupid stuff most freshman do.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I agree with your statement. However, is it because he is that talented or is it due to all the experience on the floor with him? I contend that it is a little of both. He has the talent or he wouldn't be in Columbus to begin with. By the same token, he can go to Sullinger, who is tearin' it up down low, or to any one of THREE 1000 point scorers on the perimeter. That is a luxury most incoming freshman don't have. Make no mistake, I am an AC fan. I just think it's a little early to come to any conclusions about him or this team.

I'm currently working on some crow based appetizers and desserts for the end of the season debate.

I'm confused. If he did not hold his own in AAU ball than how could he win more individual battles than he lost. The experiance he got playing AAU is exactly why the transition has been so smooth for him so far . Plus he plays great defense and is not selfish at all. Matta can thank Bruce Pearl for getting Craft or I don't think he would have even offered him. So far he has been the glue that holds that team together.

lefty,
If you reread, you will see I said not hold his own, but win .... Therefore saying he was better than most of the elite players in country he faced in AAU. We are on the same side.

He'll have a nice career, 8ppg, 4 apg
Nothin wrong with that.
I do think people need to step back on Craft and Sully for that matter until OSU gets about 6 games into the B10 season.

Most pg's have a hard time learning playbooks...I don't think he has had any trouble with the transition because he is smart and was coached so well during high school. He is the type of kid that will memorize other teams plays and blow them up during the game. I remember watching him play a few times and he knew exactly what was coming based on scouting or seeing the same play the second time in the game. I am sure some of that is the fact that his coach scouted so well, but he still had to learn it and remember it during the games.
I am realistic enough to know he isn't a shoe in at this point...however, I wouldn't bet against him either.

PJ Hill and Simmons!!I don*t think they are in the League!!LOL I am swayed WEEKLY by AC to the point where i now ask myself could he be as good as Steve Blake at Maryland some years back?If so Blake has parlayed toughness and smarts with good ball skills into a SOLID career!Still want to see some Big Ten games but AC is lookin GOOD!!Crow is being slow smoked for curing purposes!!LOL
