Findlay: The Liberty-Benton Eagles and Ottawa Glandorf Titans both move on to the District tournament in Elida by posting 20 plus point victories. Most reading this were not surprised.
Game one have is 20-0 LB vs 16-3 Riverdale Falcons. The Eagles flexed their muscles by jumping out to a 12-2 lead midway thru the first on way to a 14-7 first quarter lead.

Early in the second, Senior guard Aaron Craft picked up his 2nd foul and would take a seat with 7 minutes left in the half. LB was up 16-9 and Riverdale quickly cut it to a 16-14 game. There the Eagles would regain their footing and stretch their lead to 22-17 at the half.
Craft had just 4 points and the Eagles shot just 29% in the half. The Falcons managed just 37% from the field.
LB made a change in the 3rd with Craft moving to his foul trouble spot in the post while Pasche would guard outstanding senior guard Ryan Frey from Riverdale. That matchup would help the Eagles as they stretched their lead to 10 after 3. 39-29

The 4th is where this game changed. Up until then it was a pretty evenly matched game. But LB would set the nets on fire, hitting 10-11 from the field and 8-12 at the free throw line. The Falcons just couldn't match that and the Eagles would move on with a 65-45 victory.
Craft would finish with 26. Jones and Cramer each added 10 for the Eagles. LB shot 48% for the game.
Frey finished with 25, the only double digit scorer for Riverdale. They shot 38% for the game.
Turnovers were 14-9 in LB's favor.
The second game of the night have us 16-4 Ottawa Glandorf vs 13-8 Elmwood Royals.
Early on it looked as the Royals were going to make this game interesting by jumping out to a 4-0 lead, but OG then went on a 20-7 run to close the first quarter. That spurt included 4-6 from behind the arc, which would become a theme for the Titans.

Second quarter started the way the first ended. OG rode a 15-5 run all the way to a 40-22 halftime margin. The Titans shot 67% from behind the arc and 55% overall in the first half.
Josh Johnson paced OG with 16 first half points.
TJ Waldock lead Elmwood with 8.
One might think that changing ends and shooting at the other basket would cool the Titans off a little. Well that couldn't be farther from reality as OG scorched the nets on a 18-2 run to open the 3rd quarter. So if the game was in doubt to anyone attending, it wasn't anymore. The Titans would enjoy a 66-35 lead after 3 quarters. OG hit on 5 of 6 three point tries and 14-21 overall for the quarter.

With the Titan starters pulled, all that was left was the clock to click off the final 8 minutes so the Titans could enjoy moving on to face Delphos Jefferson at Elida next week. 78-54 was the final.
OG shot a blistering 61% from 3 including 73% thru the first 3 quarters. Overall the Titans hit on 50% of its shots for the game.
The Royals shot just 33% for the game.
Johnson finished with 21 for the Titans. Brian Laubenthal added 12 and Jordan Alt hit for 13.
Waldock finished with 11 and Adam Tyson hit for 13. Jay Hannah also added 11.
LB will face LCC and OG will tangle with Jefferson Wednesday night in Elida.
