Miller City beats Shawnee 6-2 to advance to the district finals. They play Bluffton at 5:30 Tuesday, if MC wins, they play again at 8:00.

I believe Bryan ended up winning the loser's bracket in district 1, then Defiance beat them to earn the trip to state.

Anthony Wayne won the district 2 tournament in Perrysburgh.

Nope, Defiance beat Archbold 13-9 in eight innings. Archbold eliminated Bryan on Saturday 6/4.

I would say as many as they want. I am not sure of a rule on number of pitchers allowed per game?

I think he is asking more of what their personnel would look like. Most teams that get this far with losing their first game would be in a lot worse shape than MC at this point. Last night their supposed #3 pitcher, Rusty Lammers, dominated Shawnee and threw only 70 pitches. He should be able to pitch a few innings in either game if needed. Their "ace", Jared Niese will start the first game and a quick hook will probably be used if he gets into trouble. They could bring in Drummelsmith, who has 3 no hitters since the spring season. If they then win, they could have Niese or Lammers start the second game and go as far as they can. If Niese gets a win in the first game, then Drummelsmith pitches the full game if he can. If not, you bring in Lammers to close it out. All three pitchers are capable of getting the job done. The issue for the cats at this point is their offense. If they limit strikeouts and score at least 4 runs each game, I like their chances.

Is their any rule in Acme that they can only pitch so many innings in so many days???????

Sec.13
Pitching rule: Same as used by the Ohio High School Athletic Association. No player may pitch in more
than 10 innings in a three day period. This regulation is mandatory. The limit is on a player as a pitcher.
If he can pitch with either arm he is limited as a pitcher, not ten innings per arm. A player pitching in an
eleventh inning in a three day period is considered an ineligible player. Any part of an inning is
considered an inning as per pitching rule.

The only stipulation would be then that Lammers can not throw more than three innings. Every one else is eligible to pitch up to ten tomoorow.

Thanks for the update! I didn't figure this out until earlier today and then forgot to update it on here.

Congrats to the Blue Streaks for hanging in and not giving up when things looked terrible for them.

Thanks Coach N.

It sounds like MC has depth with their pitching staff and that's whats needed if you have to come thru the losers bracket.

Good Luck to the Cats
