The track season is right around the corner!! Ottoville seems to be right on "track" to win their second PCL title in a row. Not too many departures from last year's team but a few key injuries may keep the Lady Green from a repeat. Let me know what you think.

Can Anyone Dethrone The Lady Green Track Team in PCL

The Big Green will "run" away with the league title on their home track to boot this year.

The Big Green only beat P-g by 13 points, It was senior day at P-G so the seniors weren't at the meet. Put them in the meet along with P-g top high jumper who didn't jump I think it could be really close.

When you run on a GREEN track every kid is faster. Ottoville in a land slide.

Lady Green are champs again, even when they were not at full strength. J. Rieger only ran two events after suffering a concussion earlier in the week and did not qualify for the 100. Bowers and Honigford did not go out this year due to their ACL injuries. Their field event picked up the slack with double high places in the Shot put, discus and the high jump. Their runners were solid all night. Three First by T. Kaufman (HJ, 100H, 300H) and two from Siefker (400, 1600) , one for Maag (800) and 2nd in the 1600. Their two realys (3200, 1600) were very solid, but they showed their depth in all the events to push their way to victory. Congrats to the Lady Green with their back-to-back PCL champioships.
Grove and PG had very respectable nights but too much Green to handle. Other than a few early sprinkles, a perfect night to run with temps in the mid 60's and no wind.

Congratulations Big Green ladies. Shayla Siefker's performance in the 1600 (5:12) and 400 (59.8) with a whopping ten minute rest in between. She is one special runner.

Slick,
What happened to Rieger? How did she get the concussion? Will she be able to run at districts? Keep us posted.
Congrats to the Lady Green tracksters once again. Nice job @ PCL

Villan,
Rieger suffered the concussion at the meet at Van Wert on the Tuesday running the 100H. Heard she took a pretty good spill. She was cleared to run on Friday, but took it easy (did not run the hurdles) and scratched a race or two on Friday. With a little recoop time before Districts next Thursday, she'll be fine. She's a gamer.
