best game of the season that I have seen so far was the 11 inning game between Ft. L and Anna.

Anna won 5-3.

Several Controversial calls (one going Loramie's way and the other Anna's way) bookended this other wise pretty well played game.

I think the standings have Anna one game up on Loramie and Russia (Anna and Russia have yet to play)

After that I think it is
Houston
JC
Fairlawn
Botkins

Anyone have a player of the year canidate yet?

JC- Trent Mann
Russia- Not sure, have a few good players
Botkins- NONE
Fairlawn- NONE

Its really hard to say...

With 6 bombs and a good BA I could see it going to Schulze

What about Hoying from Loramie and Clark from Anna??? They both are pretty good too.

I don't think Mann from JC is a POY canidate.
Isn't Gordon struggling a little this year?

Anna over Loramie 3-2 in 8 innings....

Like Yogi said "Deja Vu all over again" this time the opposite way.

Clark vs. Hoying

Anna takes a lead in the bottom of the first with an Alex Counts lead off Home Run
Anna got a 2nd run in the 6th on a Clark single

Loramie scores two on a single by Schulze in the top of the 7th

Anna gets the bases loaded in the bot. of the 8th, Morris hits a shot to 3rd and it is thrown away at home...another great battle between these two teams.

Hoying threw all 8 for Loramie
Hunsucker came in in the 7th after Clark walked the Leadoff

Good Luck to both in the Tournament

how did hoying throw?

threw like an ace...kept hitters off balance 8Ks i think...gave up 9 hits
he will be a contender next year for player of the year...I think Clark may be the leading canidate, with Hunsucker 2nd and Hoying and Schulze 3rd and 4th. This is after seeing all four in their 19 innings that they have played against eachother

Although it isn't officially over looks like Anna my win the league with a big win at home last night over Russia. I was at the game it was a very good game. Russia chased Clark out of the game in the 2nd inning and was leading 7-6 till the bottom of the 6th when Anna got a bases loaded two out two strike single to drive in two and take a 8-7 lead. Then in the top of the seventh Russia had two outs and a runner on second the would be tying run.

It was a great game to watch. I think Russia maybe a team to watch in the future they got alot better this season. If Russia would of won that game there could of been a three way tie for the league title. Anna would have had to go to Russia during the tourney so they would be without Clark or Hunsucker (who releived Clark last night) and that would of been interesting cause Loramie and Anna and Russia would have all had 2 League losses.

Anna wrapped up the league season last night with a 5-4 win over Russia. Anna runs the table on the league 12-0...I think a little unexpected there.

Any word on all county teams...should be out shouldn't they?

Just saw in the Sidney Daily News that Anna players Zach Clark and Wesley Hunsucker were Co Players of the Year for Shelby County.
3rd - Schulze from Loramie
4th - Gordon from Houston
5th - Terwilliger from Anna (just a soph.)

Only surprise is that Loramie got 6 kids on first and second team and the undefeated SCL Champ Rockets could only get 5 kids recognized on the first and second team....oh well. Each got 7 kids including Honorable Mention.
