Ross Gerdeman of Fort Jennings (I believe) is a Freshman RHP here at BGSU. Along with Kent State, BG is going to be a very good baseball club out of the MAC this year (32-20 in 08). We have the #7 Shortstop in the NATION, whose name escapes me right now, but if you go to BGSUFalcons.com and then the Baseball page, it should be one of the lead stories.

Also, don't forget about the guys from Bluffton U., who we tragically lost two years ago this March (RIP)!

Those were some great kids lost way too early!

Bath may be in the top 5 of this years WBL standings. With a strong infield, if simmindinger is kept on the bench and a quick outfield other than right if daric long is out there. Hitting has a strong lineup this year with M. Loudon, Bev Korkate, Scott Godee, Tyler Back, Big Z, and Runda, my prediction is that bath will win the league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thumbup1.gif

What do you have against simmindinger.... he is one of the hardest working kids at Bath and is a solid infielder.. I think you just dont like the kid..

SportsKing, its comments like yours that diminish the value of public posting forums. I find it very disheartening that you would come on this forum and bash someone, especially a young adult. Johny Simindinger(yes there is only one m in his last name) is a hard-working student athlete who would do anything to better the sports programs at Bath.

If you are an adult, then shame on you for acting so juvenile. If you are a juvenile, then maybe you should take some time to acquire some knowledge about people before you start bashing them. Johny devotes countless hours during the season and in the off season to make himself better, which ultimately helps him team.

You might want to also learn how to spell. As far as I'm aware, Bev Korkate or Scott Godde won't be playing for Bath; but in fact Kevin Korkate and Scott Goedde will be.

Regardless of some persons feelings towards specific players on Bath's team I agree that this year may be the start of something special for Bath Baseball. With a VERY good freshman class and solid upperclassmen we could see Bath battling for the league title for quite a few years in a row. I think the defense will be there if we can get some pitchers to throw strikes consistantly and as always hit, hit, hit. Good luck wildcats lets have a boys league title and shut these naysayers up for once!!!

You might want to check your sources on the Yetman kid. He is at Bluffton if you look at their roster.

way to call out two players. Big fan of bath baseball, hope they do well with the WHOLE team, not minus TWO players. P.S. posters, he called out TWO players not just the one with the father in administration...

And Yetman transfered to Bluffton in between semesters

congrats to him. are there any other kids that may go on to play in college next year? i know hefner went on to marietta with a blaski kid from P-G this year.

I think kottenbrock and a couple of other area kids went to a smaller school(Olney?) to continue their careers.

Kottenbrock and Sterling doing very well Kottenbrock threw a complete game win friday 3-0 giving up 3 runs on 5hits 7ks Sterling threw 5inn. yesterday 0 runs on 1 hit 5ks 2-0 both conference games team record 18-2 overall 3-0 in conference
