The guy really struggled last year-but you had to love the way he put the team on his back and carried them to the upset win at Miami(Fla.) last night. Hitting 6 3-pointers and scoring 20 points-he looked like a different player from last year. Amazing what some confidence and relaxing out on the floor can do for the guys game. I loved seeing because I thought some Buckeye "fans" were pretty hard on him last year.

(Mods....If this is the wrong forum...go ahead and move it....)

lol...I know it was not here on rocketcorner, but to read these posts now that Jon lit up the 3 pt line last night and to read the posts from JJ last year, you would think we were talking about 2 different kids here. I for one am glad as hell Jon finally found his stroke and on a big stage to boot. All the people who slammed him last year did not give him time to grow into the college game. I'm sure he will have some more off nights, but it sure was sweet as hell to see him start to knock em down like we were accustomed to seeing him doing as a high schooler.

Let's see if that stroke continues through out the year (unlike last year).

He appears to have "settled" into the college game. He plays so much more relaxed and with more confidence than what we saw last season. He will have a very solid career before it is all said and done. Some players just have "IT" and he's got "IT".

That is possibly the truest statement that can be made about Deibler

Shouldn't this thread be moved to the "college athletes" section?

I want to see him do it a little longer before I get too excited, but it's great to see him hitting some shots early.

Even more, it's nice to see the team coming together and playing good this early in the season. Could be a special season if they all stay unselfish.
