Congrats to Zac, always nice to see someone from the area get a chance to do something.

Now we just need to wait on LeFevour to graduate at CMU and see if Ryan Radcliff of Fairview gets a shot to start up there. I'd love to see a couple of Dysert-Radcliff shootouts, whether it's regular season or for the MAC title.

That could very happen as I am sure Radcliffe will step right in for LeFevour when he is thru with his eligibility. Did Radcliffe redshirt his freshman yr?

Yeah he did. From everything I heard he was in competition to be the 2nd string this season, not sure how that ended up playing out. At the least he should be in the hunt next year, and if not I believe it would be a junior between him and LeFevour right now.

I might have to find some way to watch/follow this weeks Miami game to see how Dysert does though. I'm doubting it'll be on TV anywhere considering these may be the 2 worst teams in the MAC, but I guess there's always ESPN Gamecast.

I'll take a stab at saying Radcliff is sitting 2nd string right now. He is the only other QB to have stats on the CMU roster.

Here is some radio stations that will carry the game. I know we most likely cannot pull them in up here in Limaland, but I will look and see if any of them webcast the games. Also on
www.miamihawktalk.com, there is a thread every game giving almost a play by play account of the game. This is updated by Miami posters who either are at the game or getting it on gamecast.

The stations
Saturday’s game

Who: Miami RedHawks (0-3, 0-1 MAC) at Kent State Golden Flashes (1-2, 0-0 MAC)
When: 7 p.m.
TV: None
Radio: WMOH-AM (1450), WPFB-AM (910), WPFB-FM (105.9), WONE-AM (980)

I honestly don't know that there is a live radio stream available. The link below is to a station that is LISTED on the Miami website as carrying games, but I don't know that they actually do. Try Saturday night about 7:00 p.m. to find out, if you like! The live stream link is in the top right quarter of the page.

I'm sure he'll be disappointed by the 2 picks and the loss, but that was a great first start to a career. 337 yards through the air on 31/53 passing and a TD, and then 107 added on the ground(team's leading rusher).

Miami needs a lot of help and may very well finish last in the MAC this year. But at least, based on this start, they have found a QB for the next 3 seasons.

I can't believe just how far Miami has fallen off, they are possibly the worst team in the country.
Poor kid is going to have an absolute train wreck of a time down there. He should have gone somewhere else.

They're terrible now, but they're in a league where teams have gone from worst in the country to competitive overnight. Look at Buffalo. Hell even Temple isn't too bad anymore. And the East is the weaker division, so with Zac only being a sophomore he could very well be the first piece of a team who could turn it around quickly.

Coming into the season they were projected to start 10 players who would be coming back next season on offense. Zac makes 11. That means that, if those players projected to start actually did, they will now return their entire offense next season. Add in 8 projected starters returning on defense, and the pieces are there for a quick turn around. They didn't play terribly against Cincinnati or Northwestern. If they can win 3-4 games down the stretch, who knows what they can do next season.

In case anyone missed it Thursday night v. Temple, Miami lost 34-32. However, Miami entered the 4th quarter trailing 31-13 before Zac led a furious comeback to take the lead with around 2 minutes to go. Unfortunately, Temple was able to drive to kick the winning FG with :03 remaining.

In the game, Zac passed for 426 yards, an all-time Miami record for passing yards in a game by a QB not named Ben Roethlistberger (4th all-time behind Ben).

In the last three games (including Miami's first win of the season , 31-24, in an upset over Toledo), Zac has passed for 1119 yards, 7 TD, 1 INT, and rushed for 2 more TDs.

Seems to be doing pretty good. I look forward to seeing Miami and Zac play well in the future, moreso, would be niice to see him continue to build his game and maybe even be NFL bound.

I just looked up the stats on ESPN. Minus Dysert's sacks, he is the leading rusher and passer for Miami. Dysert was sacked 50 times this year and wasn't the starter in 3 of the games........yes............50.

lol..jeffcat.... after having watched a few of his games this year, that does not surprise me. He will have almost the entire starting O line back next year...so that will either be a good thing or could be a bad thing.....lol..anyway even with the record Miami had this past season, Zac had a solid year and definitely raised the expectation of the Redhawk fans for the years to come.
