Everybody knows what I'm going to predict but I'm curious to know what everybody else thinks on this game of two good NW Ohio teams. OG & LB have played each other twice and each team has come away with a win. LB plays the weaker schedule that Indiangiver does not respect and OG plays a tough schedule with teams such as Findlay, Maumee and who could not forget the one and only WBL- Worlds Best League!!!

Ok Biggie, Indian, Trojan lets hear it!!

OG/home field advantage 1 Liberty Benton/not so tough schedule 3

too close to call at this point gracie. OG has been playing well of late. They played tough against Findlay, tied Maumee and tied the 10th ranked team in the state. the only thing i find a little amusing is that OG's opponent win/loss record is worse than LB's opponents (ossca.org). that would lead me to believe that LB played a tougher schedule than OG this year. lol. if LB can score on OG's keeper, than the game should be LB's. that is assuming that Amanda Hyde is her usual dominating self.

I believe that the game will hinge more on the Findlay transfer's (since when does LB recruit soccer playas......I thought it was relegated to just football and basketball?) ability to get behind the OG defense.......zoooom

Rocket,

You's always so humorus!! I think you missed your calling but on second thought I'm glad you did because then I couldn't post on the Rocketcorner.....Right? hifive2.gif

Good point Rocket especially if LB could pull out some corner shots......the amanda/peterson headers!!! ooooooYA, I thing I like it!!!! I did get a chance to see LB scrimmage OG this summer, and ya before anybody says anything, I KNOW ITS A SCRIMMAGE!!! but anyways as I was about to say LB pretty much had field control the 20 minutes LB's varsity was on the field but no scores from either team......As pointed out by Mr.Trojan if OG's keeper can watch dog her space I look for a very low score. LB's percentage of goals to shots on goal has not been the best but they are very streacky at times where they can score 2 or 3 goals quick but then miss a bunch or not even get a SOG.

Trojan, what would your opinion be on the outcome if LB played Findlay this year? I have watched Findlay play but not enough to form a good opinion so I want to know yours......After tuesday's game with OG I might have a better one.............

It should be a good game...and I agree it should be low scoring. Whichever team advances I think will represent the area well for rest of tournaments.

Good luck Eagles bag.gif

As for my expert opinion.............Offence advantage L-B, Defence advantage O-G, Home field advantage O-G, Schedule advantage O-G,
coach advantage L-B, Add it all up and you get O-G 3 L-B 2 in Overtime but the lady eagles had a great season congrats!! thumbup1.gif

LBs goal keeping will cost them.
OG-4
LB-1
Not to mention OGs student body allowed to be practically on the field. Harrassing players and refs.

OG - 3 LB - 2

LB's goalie is very limited. I heard from somebody that saw them play against Riverdale......... OG should attack the goalie because she can only throw the ball and this could lead to some extra scoring opportunites for OG

Great game. LB looked really, really good. #23 is the best I have seen this year. Also sweeper for LB is a big difference maker. Passing on both sides of the ball was fun to watch. I was glad to see the OG student body was kept off the field. They need to enforce that for the entire touny. I am not a big archbold fan but it WAS out of hand.
Even though wauseon is improving and beat 4 sectional champs and tied 1 and lost to O-G 1-0 ,I wish every Indian player could have been ther to see the passing in this game.

The passing was exceptional. I actually thought OG looked a bit better in that department as a team. LB has a number of girls with good skills but it seemed like all the OG players did. The difference came down to a great individual play by Amanda Hyde. It is a shame one of these teams had to lose because they are both very good.

Watched the game tonight. Contrary to the rumors, LB's goalie was a strength, not a weakness. She saved the game for them twice. BTW, LB's defense would never give up 4 goals Indiane. (IMO of course). OG was extremely talented. All players had great ball skills and the team passed the ball well. They are very young so they will be a force to be reckoned with in the years to come. As for LB, Amanda Hyde (#23)is the best player around. LB plays as a team and has a solid player at every position. They should represent NWO well in the coming game(s).

What a game!!! I will have to say that was one of the better games that I have seen in a very long time......As mentioned passing was suburb and who in the world would say LB's GK is limited??? As Trojan said she basicly saved the game from getting tied up when she deflected the kick into the crossbar!!! Now for Amanda Hyde, she was the best player out on the field and is the best player around the area!!! SHE IS A BEAST!!! boxing.gif Also posters were saying LB's defense would give up 3 or 4 goals?? I really could not see that since this defense has been in tack for two seasons together and has only gave up 3 goals in one game out of 37 and that happened when the goalie was injured and not playing!! Defenders Ali Erickson, Hannah Depriest, Hillary Moore and the anchor Angie Winkle don't give up goals!!!! Great Job Coach Larroco from your #2 favorite fan,LOL....Make NW Ohio Proud!!!!

OG looked solid as expected, very good ball skills, great passing and plenty of speed!!! By the way OG's goalie played a great game so don't hang your head on the goal that went by because I don't think anybody would of stopped that one except by accident.....Thanks OG for hosting the tournament!! Nice Facilitys and good concession stand!! Popcorn was great!! popcorn.gif

Biggie Johnson,

I have another lite for you!! Offense advantage LB Defense advantage LB Coach advanatge LB Field Advantage LB Schedule Advantage OG, naaa, LB! Score LB 1 OG 0 jawdrop.gif

Liberty Benton scored off a corner kick with 6 min to go. Number 23 (Amanda Hyde) just happened to be in the right place when the ball dropped right in front of her. OG goalie could not see the ball with all the girls in the box. Luck I would say Grace. And then A few minutes later the same number 23 (Amanda Hyde) was yellow carded for rough play. Refs done a good job missed a few calls but when don't they. Other than that both teams played well, were equally matched. Ottawa Glandorf has had trouble scoring all year, there front line is good but young and will get better. Young team, with 4 Seniors with no Transfers. They will reload and be back next year!

Benny, Benny you snuck that itsy bitsy one liner about no transfers, didn't you??? Just a little inside information the lone LB player that supposedly was a transfer came from Findlay has always lived in LB school district and it was Findlay that actually got the transfer a few years back not LB because all she did is finally came home (LB)..............Just thought I would tell everybody the "rest of the story"!!!

I also agree that both teams were evenly matched and both played a stellar game if I must say!!! I thought the officiating was consistant and done very well.........

Just talked to a friend who bought a Tri-Star 12 ga semi-auto at Sports Authority in Bakersfield for around 250. It was made in Turkey. Havent seen it, but he claims it was a good deal.
